00:23I am in Beijing now to report this time that China has achieved major progress in promoting
00:30gender equality and women's empowerment and has played an active role in advancing the
00:36cause globally.
00:38According to the White Paper, a document released by the State Council Information Office, titled
00:46China Achievement in Women Well-Rounded Development in the New Era.
00:51Elaborate on China's vision, practice in this field.
00:57It highlighted Chinese women in achievements and contributions and affirms China's commitment
01:04to joining global endeavors for women's advancement.
01:09China has established a legal system that is anchored by its national constitution, centered
01:18on its law, on the protection of women's rights and interests, and covered over 100 laws and
01:27regulations overall.
01:29China has also taken resolute actions to combat illegal acts that infringe upon the personal
01:37rights of women and girls, according to the White Paper.
01:41It will also highlight that a road balance between male and female student has been achieved in
01:48higher education.
01:50In 2024, female students accounted more than 50% of the total number of students in higher education
02:00institutions.
02:01Moreover, Chinese women's health has improved notably thanks to the country's efforts to
02:08put women and children at the core of its health initiative.
02:13The countries provide women with full life circle health service, successfully extending the
02:20life expectancy of women in China to almost 81 years.
02:27Currently in China, more than half of all internet entrepreneurs and one-third of the digital trade
02:35and live stream workforce are women too.
02:38In this way, China is willing to work with countries around the world, to accelerate actions, to create
02:46a brighter future for women's development and write a new chapter in the global progress of
02:53women's population.
