00:00Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the channel. Today I'm going to show you how to reset your
00:04KitchenAid refrigerator. Alright, so we are resetting our KitchenAid refrigerator. It's
00:10quick and easy. They typically don't come with dedicated reset buttons, but there is a simple
00:16power cycle that we are going to run and it can resolve many common issues. Most common issues
00:23like unresponsive controls, temperature problems, or even some error codes. So step one includes
00:30disconnecting the power. So you need to, of course, unplug the refrigerator from your wall outlet
00:36and turn off the circuit breaker that supplies power to that unit. The next step is just to wait
00:42five to ten minutes and allow the refrigerator to remain without power. This gives the control board
00:48time to fully discharge and then reset. The next thing is to simply restore power. So plug the
00:54refrigerator back in and turn the circuit breaker back on. Verify that the cooling function is active
01:00and the control panel responds normally. You can see over here we've got some troubleshooting tips.
01:08Let's jump into it. So first of all, the control panel reset. For models with a dedicated power button
01:14on the control panel, you'll need to press and hold the power or the on off button until the display
01:21turns off. Perform the manual power reset, which we discussed previously, and then power it back on
01:28again and this should reset it. Some of the troubleshooting tips I can offer you is clean the touchpad
01:35with a soft cloth to remove any moisture or any dirt that has built up over time. Also check that your
01:42door seals are in good condition. This will prevent moisture affecting the electronics and then consult
01:49the owner's manual for model specific reset procedures if this guide is not exactly on par.
01:56For persistent problems after resetting, you can contact KitchenAid's customer support
02:01and you can also visit their website for further assistance.
