00:00Tens of thousands of airline passengers across Europe are being affected by a cyber attack
00:06that hit airports across the continent, but in particular Brussels, London Heathrow and Berlin.
00:15It affected systems for check-in and baggage operated by Collins Aerospace. And of course,
00:22the company is trying to fix the problem and figure out how to stop it happening again.
00:27Meanwhile, we have had at least 10 cancellations in and out of Brussels airport. Berlin has seen
00:35four cancellations. London Heathrow, meanwhile, is looking at long delays. The early flights outbound
00:43to Lisbon, to Paris, Charles de Gaulle, to Amsterdam were delayed by up to three hours. That means many
00:50missed connections. And I'm looking at a long list of other delays of an hour or more to destinations
00:58such as Frankfurt, Munich and Istanbul. You have to assume that your flight is going to be going ahead
01:06as normal unless you hear otherwise, but be prepared for delays and disruption. If you do miss a
01:14connection, then the airline has to get you to your destination as soon as possible. And meanwhile,
01:21provide meals and if necessary, accommodation until you get where you need to be. Of course,
01:27the airlines are absolutely furious about yet another airport problem that is affecting them and costing them
01:36up money.
