Dozens of film and television writers marched in New York on Friday (Sept 19), protesting Disney’s suspension of talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel and what they called unconstitutional efforts by President Donald Trump to silence critical media voices.
Walt Disney-owned ABC suspended “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” earlier this week after comments by the late-night show's host about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk prompted a threat by the head of the top U.S. communications regulator against Disney.
