00:00The halal industry today has evolved significantly beyond food and beverages,
00:14encompassing the entire spectrum of sharia-compliant sectors,
00:19not the least being healthcare and medicine, cosmetics, tourism and Islamic finance.
00:28Now, this growing ecosystem reflects a broader commitment to integrity, ethics and faith-based values across global markets.
00:38And if I can extend the argument further, it is a best practical showcase of what da'wah is all about.
00:46Giving a message through our actions, our character and our belief in issues of integrity and accountability.
00:57So, the halal industry, therefore, has consistently been a vital sector contributing to Malaysia's economic development.
01:07And because of its universal appeal to all segments of society, halal products and services are now an increasingly popular choice among consumers,
01:17including those in predominantly non-Muslim countries.
01:23We have given the list just now what we have achieved in the last two days.
01:28And amazingly, of course, from Middle East, Arab countries, UAE, for example,
01:34there is an outstanding support from our colleagues, business and trade from China that have excelled because of the requirements.
01:45And can you imagine these days, after decades of effort now, as I said and alluded to earlier,
01:54notwithstanding countries and background, we have enormous support.
01:59And because of the need to promote trade and business.
02:06So, beyond that, therefore, there is a growing phenomenon of Muslim tourists
02:13frequently popular, frequenting popular destinations worldwide
02:19because of the expansion of options of halal, products and services.
02:25So, I believe this time, with time, inshallah,
02:29more non-Muslim countries will recognize the necessity of halal certified products beyond food and the hospitality services
02:36to incorporate Islamic finance, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and healthcare.
02:43So, again, I reiterate the point that halal is more than just a label.
02:50It is an international symbol of trust.
02:54To date, we have close to 10,000 companies
02:57comprising more than 80% of small and medium enterprises
03:03have been certified by JAKIM
03:05based on their compliance and comprehensive halal standards.
03:09The testament of global acceptance,
03:12the Malaysian halal treatment
03:13has been registered and recognized
03:16in nearly 50 countries,
03:19while JAKIM also collaborates
03:21with more than 80 accredited halal certification bodies
03:26from 45 countries.
03:28So, going forward,
03:31the Malani government will continue to proactively position
03:34the halal industry
03:36as a key contributor to the national economy,
03:39particularly in trade.
03:42In every investment mission and bilateral engagement,
03:46I must say this,
03:47without exception,
03:49whether it is Muslim majority countries,
03:53non-Muslim countries,
03:54whatever,
03:55Malaysia positions halal,
03:58as universal economic model,
04:01and again,
04:03will be part of the bilateral discussions
04:06between leaders.
04:08And this is, of course, to me,
04:10a re-achievement for the country
04:13and for the halal industry.
04:15In the global Islamic economic indicator,
04:19GIEI ranking,
04:21Malaysia maintained its top position
04:24for 11 consecutive years.
04:28Thanks not only to the support
04:32of the Malaysian industry
04:34and Malaysian ministries,
04:36but thank you to your support,
04:38those present here from so many countries.
04:44Malaysia's excellence is particularly evident
04:46in Islamic finance,
04:49halal food,
04:50as well as media
04:51and recreation.
04:52This is a result of the government's concerted effort
04:57to position the halal industry
04:59as one of the central pillars
05:01of the nation's strategic growth.
05:03So, the halal industry master plan 2030
05:09and the new industrial master plan 2030
05:12set out a clear pathway position
05:14to position Malaysia
05:15as the world's leading halal hub.
05:19The global halal market
05:20is valued at over
05:2116.02 trillion
05:23and is expected to reach
05:2622.88 trillion
05:28by 2030.
05:30Now, in terms of trade targets,
05:31based on the robust national policies
05:33and the track record
05:35of being asked,
05:37exports of halal products and services
05:39are set to reach
05:4080 billion ringgit
05:42by 2030.
05:43The government has strongly encouraged
05:45Malaysian companies
05:46to embrace
05:48the digitalization
05:50in trade
05:51to remain globally competitive.
05:54By leveraging
05:55digital technologies,
05:57Malaysian companies
05:58can enhance
05:59operational efficiency,
06:02broaden market reach
06:03and unlock new opportunities
06:05in the digital economy
06:07and cross-border trade.
06:10On this note,
06:10I am pleased to share
06:11that Nihas 2025
