00:05Jessica is playing an amazing tennis and it was always tough to play against her.

00:10But today I stepped on court, you know.

00:14I was trying to stay there at every point to play my best tennis.

00:19I knew that to beat her I needed to play at the highest level

00:24and I'm happy how I performance today on court.

00:28I'm really happy and proud about our team.

00:32I think now you've shown that there's something about the Italian team

00:36that wins here and does well and performs really well.

00:39What is it? What's in that spirit?

00:41For sure we have a huge team spirit and the fighting spirit as well.

00:48As I say always, we put always the commitment in this competition.

00:55We say always yes when the captain calls us to play in the Villaging King Cup.

01:01And we are a huge team starting from, you know, early stage.

01:06And now three years in a row with the trophy, it's unbelievable.

01:11And yeah, I mean, you're busy on tour and everything.

01:14Why do you always say yes to this competition? What's special about it?

01:17I like it, honestly. To play in a team, it's special to play for our country as well.

01:23So it's something that I really like. It's something to me really important.

01:29And so it's, you know, a priority to play this competition for myself.

01:35And obviously we've spoken to you during the week.

01:37Is what the competition stands for and Billie Jean King stands for part of why you'd like to play here?

01:43I mean, Billie Jean King is an icon. I mean, she did so much for the women tennis.

01:49And I think it was an amazing choice to call this competition Billie Jean King Cup.

01:57And yeah, it's really, you know, proud to play in front of her and to chat with her sometimes as well.

02:04It's truly an inspiration for us.

02:06I mean, this is a team competition, but you've stood out.

02:09You've really carried your team through with your performances, your comebacks.

02:13And you must be so proud of the way you've performed here in every match.

02:18Yeah, I'm so proud how, you know, we stay there.

02:22It's not just myself. It's a team.

02:26And everybody makes his own part.

02:31And from the players to all the staff, from the captain.

02:35And we're all trying to do our best.

02:38But yeah, it was amazing to put everything that I had on court and try to make the team get the win.

02:48You definitely did that.

02:49And what about the crowd?

02:50I mean, you seem to have such huge support here.

02:52Yeah.

02:53Who would have known?

02:54The crowd was amazing.

02:56We had many Italians with the Italian t-shirt.

03:02But then the Chinese as well were supporting us from the semi-final, of course, because first time we played against China.

03:12But it was amazing.

03:13I mean, to have the crowd by your side is great.

03:18So tell me about Shenzhen and your experience here.

03:21Obviously, the competition is going to be here next year.

03:23What positives are you taking from it?

03:25And how great has it been to be here, including the court itself in the arena?

03:28I think it was really, really good to play here.

03:32The organization was perfect, as always, in China.

03:35And I really like, honestly.

03:38And, you know, we came a bit earlier, but we are going to play the Asian Swing.

03:45So it's nice.

03:47I think in the calendar it's really great to have the Villaging King before the Asian Swing.

03:51And I like to play in China.

03:53And it was an amazing event.

03:55And Shenzhen, it's a really nice city.

03:57And what's it like to hold that trophy?

03:59You did it last year.

04:00You've done it again this year.

04:01And what are you going to do after this to celebrate?

04:04I don't know.

04:05Cociaretto is going tomorrow to Beijing.

04:07So probably we go to the Italian restaurant now.
