Egyptian artist’s Guinness World Record bid with simultaneous hand and foot painting technique

In a unique artistic challenge, Egyptian youth Abanoub Bebaoui is attempting to enter the Guinness World Records as the first artist in the world to paint simultaneously with his hand and foot.

Footage from Wednesday shows Bebaoui painting using both his hand and foot at the same time, while additional shots display several artworks created by the young Egyptian artist.

Bebaoui, who began this unconventional style of painting in 2019, explained that the idea was initially met with scepticism from those around him.

"They kept telling me it was impossible. Scientifically, they said it's not possible to achieve muscular and mental coordination, and that the brain can't make two decisions at the same time," Bebaoui said.

The artist said that he was determined to persevere despite all the challenges, noting that he had trained extensively until he was able to overcome any difficulties.

"But when I insisted on continuing and training, it became possible. Thank God, I've performed it multiple times at various events," he said.

Having already earned numerous awards in past competitions, Bebaoui now hopes to see his latest feat recognised with an official entry in the Guinness World Records.
