Source of Madness is not about combat, but about communication. The monsters here are sentences in a text we cannot read. This video is about how the game forces us to learn a new, terrifying language of the universe, where knowledge causes physical pain.

Transcript
00:00From childhood, we are taught language a system of symbols, sounds, and rules that allows us to
00:06describe the world, share experiences, and build a shared reality. But what if there exists a
00:12reality that fundamentally cannot be described in our language? A reality that requires not grammar,
00:19but a scream, not sentences, but muscle spasms, not words, but pure, unfiltered pain.
00:26Source of madness is an immersion into a world where our language is powerless,
00:31where the very attempt to describe what is seen leads to a rupture of consciousness.
00:36The monsters that inhabit it are not just monsters, they are walking hieroglyphs,
00:42letters from an alphabet written by a mad god, and their true essence is not to kill you,
00:47but to be read. Every tentacle, every extra eye, every drop of slime is not an accident,
00:53but a sentence in a text we cannot comprehend. Their movements are the syntax of the other,
00:59their roars are the poetry of the absurd. By fighting them, we try to tear the pages of a
01:05book we are unable to read, guided only by an animal fear of the unknown. But the abyss is not
01:12trying to destroy us. It is trying to teach us. Its teaching is not a lecture, but an injection of
01:19pure meaning, administered directly into the nervous system, bypassing the useless filters of the mind.
01:26It is knowledge that is felt as physical pain, as nausea, as the decay of flesh, because our brain
01:32cannot contain it in any other way. To accept this language is to renounce the human way of knowing.
01:39It is a voluntary surrender of logic to the obviousness of pure, unsymbolized being.
01:44The madman wandering these lands is not a broken being. He is a polyglot who has learned a new,
01:51terrifying dialect of the universe. He has learned to read from the scars in the sky and listen to
01:57the music in the moans of the dying. His scream is not a scream of horror, but an attempt to utter
02:03the first word in a newly acquired language, a word that, once spoken, will forever change the reality
02:09around the speaker. Therefore, source of madness is not about combat, but about communication.
02:17The most horrific monster is the most sincere and clear message from the abyss. And our task is not
02:23to silence it with a sword, but to find the courage to listen to this message to the end,
02:28even if the outcome of this conversation is the complete destruction of who we thought we were.
02:33We are entering a dialogue with madness, where the only argument is the willingness to assume
02:39the form of the interlocutor.
