00:08season the Steelers don't look good on D the Patriots don't look good on D maybe the play is

00:17season goes on but I mean New England could not stop Miami the Patriots have now uh you know
00:25basically I think put themselves in a position where they could win more games if they started
00:29playing defense and for the Steelers I mean they tore apart the Jets and the Jets tore them apart
00:35and then Seattle tore them apart this past week this is the stunner to me I just didn't see that
00:40happening yeah the Seattle thing was a little weird because they start this the Steeler defense started
00:46terribly uh from the from the kickoff but then they kind of got it together they went through about
00:51five possessions in a row where they handled it uh got good stops I got off the field and then things
00:58fell apart for them and Mike Tomlin attributed on Tuesday to fatigue I guess I've been using the
01:04word fatigue I don't know that he used that word but more or less that that they wore down uh that's
01:10it was a hot day but that's not really acceptable uh I think part of it as well is that they've been
01:16really injured they've got seven regulars now that are injured on defense now that doesn't mean
01:22they'll all be out this week some of them are out uh Alex Highsmith for instance is is described as
01:28out some of them are trying to get make it back like Derek Harmon the rookie defensive lineman
01:33Joey Porter uh that one of their good young corners uh but schematically they have they don't have a
01:39real handle on what they want to do they can't stop the run and in the defensive backfield uh they
01:45came into the year with this idea that they were going to play kind of a free-flowing deal
01:49uh but they can't define it they haven't been able to cover receivers consistently because
01:54I don't think anybody knows what they're supposed to do
