00:00Bradford City's Bobby Poynton has shed his delight at being on the score sheets as the Bantams defeated their West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town at Bally Parade on Saturday afternoon by three goals to one.
00:14Poynton himself grew up as a Bradford City supporter, making the goals and the victory all the more sweeter for him.
00:21Oh, over the moon. You know, it's a Yorkshire derby and I knew everyone would be up for it today and to get over the line, just unbelievable.
00:32Obviously, 12 years since last time we played this, I imagine you were probably in the stands for that one. How pleasing was it to be playing in a game like that but also win it?
00:41Yeah, you know, I can't say I like Huddersfield, you know, I'm a Fat City fan, I'm not going to really be the best fan of them but yeah, so it's even better for me personally to beat them and get the three points.
00:55Growing up as a fan, did you dream of days like this when you're playing in these kind of games and winning them?
01:00Yeah, 100%. You know, I dreamt of it and it's how exactly it went. You know, their fans were decent, they were up for it and so ours were even more so.
01:11Yeah, our fans got us over the line today.
01:14And Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu has made clear that despite the White's loss against Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League, there were positives to take from Leeds' performance.
01:27Disappointed but there's a lot in that performance that we can take as a baseline through the rest of the season with us.
01:33Obviously, at the end, the end result is what matters so we're hurt, we're gutted.
01:39But it's a very long season, we've got stuff to improve on, we've got stuff to take on but we're going to enjoy the ride.
01:47There was a lot that you could reflect on positively at the end of the... I know it feels hard but there is a lot to reflect on positively, isn't there?
01:53No, exactly. It's weird to say that when you come away losing 1-0 because of how everyone dug in, how everyone performed.
02:02We had a couple of chances on a counter-attack. There's a lot to take from that and to be positive with.
02:07So, obviously, like I said, we're going to be disappointed and it's going to hurt tonight but from tomorrow on then we've got to crack on and get full focus.
