01:02words his wife told him while they were watching an NFL game on TV together in early 2019 and saw
01:09the kicker miss an attempt of four words that, frankly, are uttered often by fans but are almost
01:14never true. You could do that. He kept working full-time as a software engineer, but he trained
01:21him in his garage during the pandemic. Three years later, the Birmingham Stallions gave him a shot in
01:28the USFL. Aubrey walked away from his tech job, taking a 50% pay cut, determined to chase a second
01:36chance at a pro career. The gamble paid off. After two standout seasons in the USFL, Aubrey earned an
01:57invitation to the Dallas Cowboys' 2023 training camp. Against the odds, he made the final 53-man roster and
02:05never looked back. His philosophy is simple. As a kicker, you've got to have a very short-term memory.
02:13Even if you nail a 59-yarder, you can't stop and celebrate because the next one is always waiting.
