00:00Fake tubes are discovered in a flood control project in Barangay Aqao, Bawang, La Union.
00:06Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon points out the tubes attached to the structure were mere props.
00:11The tubes, known as weep holes, are supposed to measure two meters and cut through the structure,
00:16but officials found them cut into short pieces. The agency also notes the metals used for the
00:21project were too thin. Dizon says the P180 million project is substandard. The contractor
00:27behind the project is Silver Wolves, but officials could not provide other details.
00:32The project was reported completed in March 2025 but remained under construction at the time of
00:37inspection. With Dizon is Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, who is also a special advisor to the
00:42Independent Commission for Infrastructure.
