00:00but it doesn't mean we can't ask questions about this team having 101 passing yards.
00:05Jalen Hurts averaging under five yards per completion.
00:08A.J. Brown averaging 5.4 yards per reception.
00:12What did you make of Philly's performance in Arrowhead?
00:15A solid one.
00:17They went into Arrowhead as a one-and-a-half-point road favorite
00:20and knocked out a team that had huge revenge on their mind,
00:24and it was a lower-scoring game, and I understand that now in back-to-back games,
00:28the offenses looked inconsistent, and we haven't seen the same dominance,
00:32but when push comes to shove, they got the W, right?
00:35And you can make the argument, look at the win last year against Lamar Jackson and Baltimore.
00:40That was an ugly road win, and the statistics weren't through the roof,
00:45and all they did was knock out Lamar in Baltimore.
00:47I don't take away anything other than that they are the team to beat still in the NFL,
00:54and I've said that to you time and time again, preseason, in-season.
00:58I think their odds are only going to go shorter because I think they're the most complete team.
01:02I think the offense will come around, and granted, you want to see A.J.
01:05get more than just 27 yards and 11 yards in back-to-back weeks.
01:09You want to see those wide receivers get involved.
01:12Goddard was out.
01:14Calcaterra didn't make a dent for the most part, but at the end of the day, they're going to be fine.
01:18If they were giving up 30 and 35 points in winning games the way that Cincinnati was last year,
01:25I'd say, you know what, they have major problems.
01:27Offense is putting up points, but the defense is nowhere.
01:31The defense is carrying this team.
01:33That's where they are.
01:34They are dominant in the trenches.
01:37They run the football when they have to, and they are dominant up front,
01:40and until that changes, I don't take away anything other than that.
01:44I thought they would win.
01:46I'm mad that they didn't win by double digits because they should have,
01:50and Kansas City is completely psychologically broken.
01:53I've said that.
01:54They're done.
01:54That Chris Jones comment shows that they're not just frustrated.
01:59They don't have answers, and they're looking for everything statistically.
02:02It doesn't matter.
02:03Philly didn't bring their A game, and they still whooped you in Arrowhead.
02:07I almost want to move on to the next subject.
02:09Joe, I think you've absolutely knocked it out of the park
02:11because the Chiefs, who spent all of last season winning voodoo, magic,
02:18and they will tell you it's none of that.
02:20We win on the margins because that's who we are, right?
02:22We don't make mistakes.
02:24You make mistakes.
02:25Well, now Chris Jones is trying to find small victories.
02:29Now, you didn't even throw for 100.
02:30Yeah, all right.
02:31Eat this push-push again, brother.
02:33Go for a ride, just like he did in the Super Bowl.
02:35What about his quarterback?
02:36Your quarterback didn't do anything either.
02:38So, and that's what I'm – right, so, again, sometimes I'm not –
02:41you can read between the ones.
02:42Okay, so, Chris Jones, they didn't throw for 100.
02:45You lost.
02:46Why?
02:46Offense fault?
02:47Is that what you're saying?
02:47Right.
02:47Is Chris Jones throwing tantrums in the locker room?
02:49Chris Jones is getting chewed out by Drew Tranquil in week one
02:52because he's not sticking to assignments and letting Herbert rip off a run
02:56to ice the football game.
02:57They – I think there's pressure.
03:00Oh, yeah.
03:00Mounting on this team.
03:01They don't have answers.
03:02They're old.
03:03They're old.
03:04Right, because last year, right, oh, we're riding high.
03:07Two-time, we're going to go for three-time Super Bowl, punch, punch, punch.
03:10I mean, they're still wiping off – you know, wiping blood out of their mouths
03:13how they got beat up in the Super Bowl.
03:14So then, hey, New Year, just settle in.
03:16We're all right.
03:17And you let the Chargers clip you.
03:19And you go, hey, you know what?
03:20Maybe our minds weren't in it.
03:22There's no way their minds weren't in it for this game against this team,
03:26and they didn't have the answers.
03:28So, I agree with you from Kansas City psychologically.
03:30I agree with you that Philadelphia is the team to beat.
03:33They should be the Super Bowl favorites, certainly the Green Bay,
03:35certainly the conference favorites, all of that is there.
03:37But there are real questions of why for two weeks now, watching these games,
03:43I'm wondering, is anyone open?
03:46Because it's not that Jalen Hurts doesn't have time,
03:49and it's not that Jalen Hurts is throwing copious amounts of incomplete passes.
03:55Right?
03:56Jalen Hurts, through two games, his completion percentage, Joe, is 75.6%.
04:02If it stayed that way, I'm pretty sure that would be a single-season record.
04:05But he's averaging 5.6 yards per attempt.
04:07Right.
04:08Is anyone open?
04:10Is Jalen Hurts just, overall else, I will not turn the ball over.
04:16That's important, but, brother, is someone open?
04:19Is the answer no?
04:20I would like to think someone's open.
04:22So, has A.J. Brown lost a step?
04:24Has Devon Smith lost a step?
04:26Does their new offensive coordinator not have any clue what's happening here?
04:30No, because, Joe, again, for the Eagles, right, week to week, what's the goal?
04:35Win the game.
04:36But big picture, it's win another Super Bowl,
04:38and you cannot have a quarterback completing 75% of his passes at 5.6 yards per attempt.
04:45You're right.
04:46That's crazy.
04:46No, you're right, but I expect it to change.
04:49And what did I tell you about coordinators?
04:51They have to get into a rhythm.
04:52Sure.
04:53And, again, there's a lot of pressure on Philly, defending Super Bowl champs.
04:57You come right out of the gate with an NFC East opponent.
05:00Just don't lose it.
05:01Don't make play calls that lose it.
05:02They didn't lose it.
05:03They won it.
05:04They grinded out a game.
05:05Revenge spot.
05:06Team that you just whooped in the Super Bowl.
05:08You're on the road.
05:09Just don't lose it from a play calling perspective.
05:12Yeah.
05:13Just don't lose it.
05:14They win it.
05:15Now you can relax.
05:17You got through the first two weeks.
05:18You had two critical big – you got a division win,
05:22and you got the revenge spot, and you psychologically broke the team
05:27that you've been going head-to-head with over the past three seasons.
05:29And you got the revenge spot.
05:30You got the revenge spot.
05:31You got the revenge spot.
05:32You got the revenge spot.
05:33You got the revenge spot.
