Tesla Inc.’s Gigafactory near Berlin will increase production targets for the third and fourth quarters, according to Benzinga. Tesla’s Germany production head André Thierig said Tesla’s Berlin factory, which supplies over 37 markets worldwide, has received positive signals from its customer regions. The EV giant's Berlin factory was recently evacuated after a fire caused by fallen battery cells, though no injuries or fatalities occurred. Tesla’s European sales fell 40.2% in August, coinciding with rival BYD’s growth in the region. In the U.S., Tesla’s market share has slipped below 40% for the first time since 2017, and the company has discontinued the Cybertruck’s RWD Long Range model.
