Porthmadog manager Chris Jones has his say on 4-1 win at Llay Welfare

00:00Ty is not an easy place to come. Last time Pomarrow came here we lost 2-1, but today it's a 4-1 result against a strong side as well, Chris.

00:08Yeah, tough place to come. We spoke about it a lot before the game.

00:12Just because they haven't had the best of starts, they're still a good side.

00:15Obviously they were in the league above last season.

00:17And I've got to say, I think the first 20-25 minutes was the best we played this season so far.

00:22We set out a game plan for them that they stuck to.

00:25Now every single player did it in the first half and I think it worked time and time again.

00:29Obviously we were really clinical in front of goal.

00:32They had moments at different times in the game, which is always going to happen when you're away from home.

00:35But yeah, no complaints overall. Brilliant performance and good win.

00:38Three goals in the first half, which is a good start as well.

00:42But the second half faltered a bit and finished it 1-1. Any thoughts on the second half?

00:47When you're 3-0 up and obviously we were downhill.

00:51Second half you've sort of just got to manage the game a little bit more.

00:53I think we had opportunities on the counter-attack.

00:55We could have, if we took a little bit more care, maybe scored some more goals.

00:59But when you get to 3-4-0, it's obviously about managing the game and just seeing it out.

01:03But a big pleasing factor as well.

01:05Four different scorers and two of the goals from set pieces.

01:07I'm always talking about when we concede from set pieces.

01:10But we were rock solid today and scored two good goals from it.

01:13And headers, two headers, clinical headers as well, which is a rarity for Bob Alaka goals.

01:17We're playing to Danny there.

01:18And obviously Danny's a quick technical forward and he's scored two headers so far.

01:22So still a lot more to come from him.

01:24But yeah, great to score from set pieces, two goals there.

01:26Denby on the horizon in the Welsh Cup.

01:28Your thoughts on that game?

01:30Big challenge.

01:30Obviously, the top side from the league above.

01:33So it's tough as it gets really.

01:35But we'll have a game plan for it and we're at home in front of our own support.

01:38So we'll go and give it everything we can.
