Porthmadog manager Chris Jones gives his verdict on Ardal League North Cup final win

00:00Chris, that's a fantastic afternoon. 4-1 win and the Cup back at Borbarach.

00:05What can we say?

00:07Yeah, you mentioned in the last interviews that I've done with you,

00:10obviously there's been a bit of disappointment around

00:12because we never quite got over the line in the league,

00:14but it's not every season that you get to come and have a cup final

00:17and give our loyal supporters a day out like they've had today,

00:19so I'm just delighted for them, really delighted for everyone at the club

00:22that we've got something to show for our hard work this season.

00:25Four fantastic goals, a team performance and a goalie to save the game at 3-1 as well.

00:30I said to the boys at half-time, every single one of them won their individual battle in the first half.

00:35We were outstanding, that's the performance of the season in the first half

00:38and it shows what we can do against good teams, like I've said before.

00:41Beginning of the second half, full credit to them, they came back into the game doing really well.

00:45The top side, there's a reason that they've won their league,

00:47but I just thought we were outstanding from 1-16 today, every single player,

00:52and then with the backdrop of our own support, it's been a brilliant day all around.

00:55We move on, end of season, and the work starts now for next season.

00:59Yeah, it's about using this now to kick on to next season,

01:02trying to go one better in the league and have more days out like this.
