Taiwan's defense ministry is reporting it spotted 26 Chinese aircraft, including fighter jets and drones, operating around Taiwan in the 24 hours leading up to Monday morning. It says 23 of those aircraft entered Taiwan's ADIZ. It also spotted nine naval vessels and one official ship in the waters around Taiwan.

00:18This area is not Taiwan's airspace but acts as a buffer zone for defensive purposes.
00:23It also spotted nine Chinese Navy vessels and one official ship operating in the waters around Taiwan.
00:29This activity comes just days after U.S. and British warships sailed through the Taiwan Strait, prompting protests from Beijing.
