Taiwan's defense ministry has detected 54 Chinese military aircraft and 6 naval vessels around Taiwan within a 24-hour period ending Saturday morning. 47 of those aircraft entered Taiwan's ADIZ.

00:1747 of those aircraft entered Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone, or ADIZ.
00:23This is not the country's sovereign airspace,
00:26but is used as a buffer zone for defensive purposes.
00:29It's the second day of heightened activity near Taiwan
00:32and comes after China and Russia carried out joint naval drills in the region.
00:38The Defense Ministry says it has monitored the situation
00:41and responded with its own aircraft and ships.
