00:00Hi, Ted! How are you? Good, welcome. How's it going? It's going really well. We're with Billboard and this is Ted from Shrinking. Yes, Ted McGinley from Shrinking. And this is your very first Emmys. It is. I've been here for 45 years. Wow. Trying to get on this carpet. Well, you found the right show to do that. Yeah, you got that right. I am so excited to be a part of Shrinking, I can't tell you. And I gotta say, in my head, you're the best husband in the world on the show. So does your wife, I was about to say, does she feel
00:29like you're as good as your character? No, never. But, you know, Derek is a good husband. I wish I could be as gracious as Derek. It's a work in progress. We all have to get there. We have something to work for. That's kind of what the show's about, right? We are all a work in progress. And we're all okay to be flawed. And we're all okay to own it. And we're all okay to apologize and accept an apology. And that's kind of what we're about. And since we are with Billboard, this is your first Emmys, I was curious, what music were you listening to today when you
00:59are getting ready? I was watching football. Oh, of course you was. Yeah, we're staying in a suite that has two TVs. It was great. I was in heaven. Okay, who's your team? A nice pregame. Well, because now a fantasy football today, I had to watch 49ers because I had McCaffrey. So anyway, so and now of course, you got the Kansas City and the Eagles are playing. So some people have it on down here down the way.
01:26We're watching. He'll be on his phone during the Emmys watching football. Yesterday was college football. But yeah, normally, I don't know. We're eclectic. We have a lot of stuff. Alex Sucks. Have you ever heard of that? Oh, okay. No, have not. All right. Check it out. Okay. I'll jump on Apple Music. Yeah. What's your favorite song by them? The Gutter. Okay. Writing it down. Just check it out. See what you think. No matter what I do.
01:52And then lastly, I wanted to ask you, the show is so, you know, centered on therapy. How important do you think therapy is? Do you have a therapist? Do you talk to somebody?
01:58Are you allowed to ask me that? I am. I'm doing it tonight. Yes, I have. I think it's very important. I think it's important if people feel it's important. It's one of those things you can tell people to go therapy and they may not participate in any way.
02:16But if you're really open to it, you grow. And it's a great thing. I have. I've experienced it. I think it's very worthy and worthwhile.
02:25I'm not a fan of lifelong, the same person forever. I think you've got to change it up every so on. Switch it up. Yeah. I think it's very important.
02:33Well, it's a great show. We're so happy to have you. And congrats on your first Emmys.
02:37Congrats. Thank you for talking to us. Let me ask you, do you go to a therapist?
02:41Now you're going to make me run off camera. I do. I do. No, I need, we both need therapy. Don't worry.
02:46My wife will tell you, I need therapy. And I've spent not enough time. Yeah. Thank you so much. Thank you guys. Have fun. Thank you.
