Carson Daly Admits He Would Want Eminem To Co-Host 'Total Request Live' If He Did An Episode Today

Carson Daly caught up with Billboard’s Tetris Kelly on the red carpet of the 2024 Emmy Awards.

00:04It's nice to meet you too, of course so coming to events like the Emmys

00:07What excites you at this point in your career? I mean you get to sit in the audience and watch a lot of it

00:11It's just so cool. Like we've been doing this show for a long time

00:14I've been in TV for a long time, but I think as everybody knows as they get older

00:19You know life is just moving by so fast for all of us

00:21And so I'm at that point in my life in my career when coming to the Emmys

00:25It's really special

00:26you know you really take stock and

00:28how many people great people get to work with and we put out this product and it's on TV and people like it and I

00:32Get to come with my beautiful wife and have a nice night out and see old friends and the business

00:37So I'm really grateful

00:38And then is there a show that you watch this year that you binge or that you love that you can't wait for the next?

00:42Season. Well, I love the bear and I just watched it

00:44I'm sure that's a big popular answer when you ask people that but for me

00:48I mean my wife, you know put out a cookbook and we're big foodies in our family

00:52My son was actually just making chickens back in New York and we were facetiming and so we're always talking about food

00:58So the bears a big one and we sat with that cast last year

01:01So we're pulling for them

01:08Tell me if you were able to do an episode today, oh my gosh

01:11Who would be the guest that had to be your first guest back? Oh my that's such a great question

01:15I have to say Marshall because em em was there from the beginning

01:19I saw him just the other night at the VMAs. I hadn't been to the VMAs in years

01:23I don't think he had been on in a while and

01:25Seeing him with all the Slim Shady's that really brought me back and we have great history and being such a fan of

01:31The beginning of his career and how it all happened to MTV if I was good to go back and do a show

01:35It wouldn't be right without having him there
