00:00It feels like the deck is stacked against the Chiefs,
00:03and that's how you end up with the Eagles as road favorites in Arrowhead.
00:08Again, Tiger doesn't change his spots.
00:12Is that what they say, you know, in respect to that?
00:15I think this is a bad matchup for Kansas City.
00:17They got exposed in the Super Bowl in the interior.
00:20Offense and defensive lines got pushed around by the Philadelphia Eagles,
00:25and nothing's changed basically six months later.
00:28That's the bottom line.
00:29And I understand that Philly came out potentially a little flat
00:32against an NFC East opponent in Dak Prescott,
00:35and he was able to have success with C.D. Lamb and George Pickens over the top,
00:39and Adoree Jackson got burned.
00:41But with no Xavier Worthy in this lineup to take away the double teams
00:45from Marquise Hollywood-Brown, I think Philly's going to double team Brown.
00:49I think they're going to get after Pat Mahomes,
00:51and I think Jalen Hurts continues the success that he had in the Super Bowl
00:57and dominates that secondary over the top.
00:59Justin Herbert had a great performance.
01:01We saw Quentin Johnson break out.
01:03We saw Justin Herbert, three touchdowns, no interceptions.
01:07Granted, the rushing attack was a little inconsistent for L.A.,
01:11maybe in the second half after they made some adjustments.
01:14But, again, I don't think Saquon breaks out for 150 today,
01:18but he definitely has a better performance than he did in the Super Bowl.
01:21But I think it's all Jalen Hurts.
01:23I think it's all Philly.
01:25And, again, I am not sold on the offensive identity now of Kansas City.
01:29They rushed for 5.8 yards per carry.
01:32A majority of that was Pat Mahomes rushing and scrambling for his life.
01:37Not going to happen today.
01:38This is a spot, Joe, that I expected to fully be on
01:42when they announced the schedule back in May.
01:44I really couldn't believe that the Chiefs were going to come back from Brazil
01:47at a rest deficit.
01:48I know it's a day.
01:50I know people may think that doesn't matter.
01:52But I think coming back from Brazil can be tricky.
01:53I really do.
01:54It's an unknown thing to open your season in an international game, right?
01:59Only last year's Eagles and Packers have had that experience, right?
02:02The Chargers get the benefit of not having to play until Monday, right?
02:05So just when you compare those things.
02:09But I don't think I can reasonably bet Philly as a favorite in Arrowhead
02:15because I still have some respect for the concept of home field advantage.
02:21I'm not saying I like Kansas City.
02:23I don't like Kansas City, Joe.
02:25But at the end of the day, when we're figuring out what are our favorite sides,
02:30where do we have advantages, where are we certain,
02:33I end up backtracking a little bit.
02:35Because football is, listen, it's talent, it's X and O's,
02:41but there's also a lot of emotion, right?
02:43And we lay out what's on the line for the Chiefs.
02:47This feels like a playoff game.
02:48I mean, it feels like a playoff game.
02:49It is for Kansas City.
02:51I mean, every game in the NFL is a step-up spot.
02:54We know that.
02:55But as much of it being a playoff and a revenge factor for Kansas City,
03:01this is an opportunity to Philly to really flex their muscle and say,
03:05you don't think Philly wears it and Jalen Hurts and this team have a chip on them.
03:10They were the most dominant team in the NFL.
03:12They bring back everybody, basically.
03:16And now we're talking about Micah Parsons,
03:18and we're talking about Green Bay as being the team to beat
03:21because they beat a Washington team that got pasted in the NFC Championship by Philadelphia.
03:27What's changed?
03:28Not only that, and I understand home field advantage,
03:31but I think we're discounting everything.
03:33They got beat up in the Super Bowl two years ago.
03:36Philly went in there on a rain-sirped Monday night and won that game 21-17.
03:41They just match up well, and they've gotten better.
03:45And tell me what's going to change for the offensive-defensive lines for Kansas City.
03:49Nothing.
