00:00Trevor Lawrence at Cincinnati, porous defense, or J.J. McCarthy home against Atlanta.
00:06What about McCarthy's health?
00:09I mean, Del Boca Vista? Is that where they are?
00:12I love the Del Boca Vista.
00:13All over that shuffleboard court.
00:16Look, I really like when I saw J.J. McCarthy.
00:19I picked the Vikings on the betting pro shows during the week, and I stuck with it.
00:23It was my first instinct. It was the right instinct.
00:26And somehow throughout that whole game, even though McCarthy, even when he threw the pick six,
00:29I was like, eh, I feel like the kid's going to find a way to figure it out.
00:32And he did. And everything in my being wants to take J.J. McCarthy here.
00:35Can you imagine back-to-back primetime games for this kid to open up his NFL career, right?
00:40He had his debut last week on Monday, and now Sunday night football this week.
00:44I mean, it's amazing. Like, the energy of this kid is infectious.
00:47But I'm going to take Trevor Lawrence here.
00:49And I'm going to take Trevor Lawrence because of that Bengals defense that's frankly no good.
00:54I'm sure, speaking of bounce backs, I look for the Bengals to bounce back.
00:57If this one isn't in over, I'll eat my hat.
00:59I'd be shocked if we didn't go over here with the way these defenses are.
01:03But I think that Trevor Lawrence has shown you that he is capable against Cincinnati Bengals defense.
01:08I like this matchup.
01:09So, J.J. is very tempting, especially because I know he likes to run around a little bit.
01:13I think J.J. is going to be just fine.
01:15And I think that was a really tough first start for him of his career, having not played football in a year.
01:20In a year, he hadn't played a down of football.
01:23Yeah, there was some rough patches there in the first half.
01:25But the coach didn't let go of him.
01:27His teammates didn't let go of him.
01:28Everybody lifted him up, held him there.
01:31And guess what?
01:31He held him up to a win.
01:32And that's terrific.
01:33And that's why Kevin O'Connell is one of the most underrated, underappreciated coaches in the NFL.
01:37Joe said, I'll eat my hat, which I think is like a 1950s reference.
01:42And normally, I don't need for you to fail.
01:45But please don't let what Joe said happen, because I think Joe eating a hat would be great television next week.
01:52Thank you so much, Lord.
01:52All right.
01:53We take this next question from a sports critter out in Duluth, Minnesota.
01:57It's a tight end question.
01:59Jake Ferguson has the Giants at home or Hunter Henry at Miami.
02:03What do you say, Joe?
02:04Okay, this one is, again, just chasing touchdowns for me.
02:09And I think when I talked about Lamb and I talked about Pickens, look, both these guys have good touchdown equity.
02:14I'm going to go with Hunter Henry in this one, because that Miami defense is so bad.
02:19That offensive line is not much better.
02:21But, oh, my God, the defense of the Miami Dolphins is bad.
02:24And I think Mike McDaniel has officially lost control.
02:27I was saying that I think he would get fired at the bye week.
02:30I don't think he's going to make it to the bye week.
02:32I don't know if he's going to make it out of September at this point, too.
02:36I think things are really coming apart.
02:38And we talked about this in the offseason shows, right?
02:40I said I had it on good authority from an insider that I trust very much, who's been doing this a long time, that said, stay away from the Dolphins.
02:48No matter how tempting they are, just stay away from them, because this team is falling apart at the seams.
02:53They have no discipline.
02:54They have no preparation.
02:55They're not a good organization at this point.
02:57And so far, after week one, it certainly looked like Daniel Jones looked like Peyton Manning last week.
03:02That cannot happen on any plane.
03:05I don't know what universe we're in, you know, different Marvel universes where things kind of break up.
03:10But the one where Daniel Jones looks like Peyton Manning, the timeline is screwed.
