00:00Now what about the warm home discount scheme? Can we see that open up again?
00:04Yes, it's opening again this year and crucially loads more people will be able to get extra help
00:09this year for this one. So, it's £150 and it's applied directly to your energy account,
00:16so it goes through your energy company. It doesn't land on your bank account,
00:19it goes to your energy account. And up until now, it was just people on certain means-tested
00:25benefits. But as of this summer, the government said actually this winter we're going to extend
00:30it to a lot more people by including universal credit in that list of eligible benefits. So,
00:36it's people on housing benefits, employment and support allowance, job seekers allowance,
00:40income support and universal credit, which means millions more people this winter
00:44should again automatically receive this extra cash, which is basically a discount off your energy bills.
00:52And it should really help people who are struggling. Crucially, if you're a pensioner on a low income
00:57and you fit one of those means-tested benefits, you should also still receive the winter fuel payments.
01:04So, potentially, if you're a low income pensioner, you might get £450 of support this winter with
01:10those two schemes combined together, which will really help cover that 2% increase we're seeing
01:15in energy bills. It should more than cover that and really help people through the winter.
01:22So, I'm just looking forward to that when going home, we have picked upurp of this winter.
01:26So, I'm really getting German. Now I can add that to word.
01:27If I'm thinking now I am quickly in白icas. It should be with me.
01:29So, I might add $500 per已經 up on the countryside.
01:45So, you should check that out.
