‘Shame on Labour!’: Pensioners protest at Parliament over cuts to winter fuel allowance

Pensioners are telling Keir Starmer to “let it go” and get rid of plans to cut winter fuel allowance.

00:08I've got two, well three, granddaughters and they've all loved Frozen and so when I saw this

00:18I thought this is brilliant because I want Keir Starmer to let it go what he's done to pensioners.

00:28Well I've come here because obviously I feel very strongly about the government's decision

00:33to cut the winter fuel allowance. I can't understand why just behind us when they pay

00:40the pensioners in that building there £350 per day to sign a register and they are taking away

00:50£200 per year from the pensioners. This is a Labour government, it seems to be going out of

00:58its way to annoy older people. Supporting our elderly about their money being cut

01:05when government are getting freebies and you've got mass migration who are being paid in hotels

01:12and all that before our elderly. I think the money should go towards our elderly first.

01:18When we're pensioners and we expect to be rewarded because that's what the NHS told us

01:24when we started work in the 70s you get rubbish money now but you will be rewarded

01:32in your old age. It's just not happened and now on top of losing the £50,000 we are getting

01:42because I've got a small NHS pension I don't qualify for the winter fuel allowance.
