Authorities name 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as suspected shooter in Charlie Kirk assassination

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said the suspect's father helped to turn his son in after the FBI released pictures and CCTV footage of Robinson, who was yet to be identified, declaring him a "person of interest".

00:00The FBI have released new video footage showing a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Trump, Ali and conservative media personality Charlie Kirk.
00:10Officials have directly asked the public for help in finding the suspect, who shot Kirk in broad daylight as he spoke at a public event in Utah.
00:20The suspect ran into a wooded area where police say they found a rifle they believe is the weapon used to shoot Kirk.
00:26Police have also collected imprints of a forearm, a palm and a shoe alongside DNA evidence from the edge of the building where Kirk was shot from.
00:36The suspect is believed to be of university age and an experienced shooter.
00:42Kirk's assassination has prompted an outpouring of grief and concerns over the escalation of political violence in the United States.
