00:00You've been a part of many renditions of the match on TNT, and I think there's been eight to nine at this point.
00:07You played in one and been on the broadcast for most other ones.
00:10So I have to ask, a lot of people want you to be calling a lot of golf.
00:15They love your honesty, and sometimes we don't quite get that full of honesty in the game of golf.
00:20So why don't you tell us a little bit about how your experience has been sitting next to Ernie, sitting next to a legend in Trevor Immelman,
00:26from a player in a broadcast standpoint, and some of your favorite memories from those matches?
00:31You know, Smiley, I have the same philosophy when I do basketball.
00:37Hey, man, make sure the fans are having fun.
00:40You know, Ernie makes fun of me.
00:41I said the same thing before every show.
00:44Like, when they count down like ten, I said about five.
00:47I said, remember, guys, it's just basketball.
00:50We're not saving the f***ing world.
00:53I said the same thing before every show.
00:55And when I do the golf match, I said, guys, it's just f***ing off.
00:59We're not saving the world.
01:00And I truly mean that sincerely.
01:04I actually always try to make sure people at home are having a good time.
01:09Because I'm pretty sure all the NBA players are rich.
01:12I'm pretty sure all the golfers are rich if they're in the match.
01:16I don't think they care who wins.
01:17They're probably getting a ton of money from their charity and a ton of money from appearing.
01:21So, I want to make sure that the fan is having a good time.
01:26And I really mean it.
01:28I love golf.
01:29Golf is, to me, first of all, it's one of the few places you can get peace and quiet.
01:34Let's first get that out of the way.
01:36I tell people, they're like, why do you play so much golf?
01:39I say, yeah, when I go shopping, people ask me why I'm at the supermarket.
01:42Well, I just came here to talk to you.
01:43I was saying to myself, I had nothing to do today.
01:48I just want to come here.
01:49Like, when I go to the dry cleaner, like, what are you doing here?
01:52I say, you know what?
01:52I just came to the dry cleaner.
01:54Because I know for a fact that I said, I know people want to talk to me at the dry cleaner.
02:01So, for me, golf is, man, it's like therapy.
02:05I love to go out there with three of my friends, slap the ball around.
02:09I love to walk.
02:10You know, I live in Philadelphia during the summer.
02:12Like, living in Arizona, you have to drive all the time.
02:16I play golf every day for the last three months, basically.
02:20I love walking.
02:21I love being in the middle of all those big old trees.
02:24You play with three of your friends.
02:26And, man, you just have a blast.
02:27There's a lot of trash talking.
02:29There's a lot of trash talking.
