00:00Is it almost a shame to then have a couple of weeks off before you get back out on the field again and keep that good feeling going?
00:07Yeah, it would have been nice to have kept playing, that's for sure, yeah.
00:10I've always been, sort of, frame of mind that you just deal with the cards you're there, I've always been that.
00:15It would have been nice to have kept going, obviously.
00:17On the back of that result, the guys were in good feel.
00:22But we've had, we went over the game, we've had a bit of time to look over that,
00:26a wee bit of time to look forward to the game on Saturday.
00:30Again, St Man, yeah, I was obviously delighted to win the game up there, regardless of the situation.
00:39You know, they're no one of the league games, Aberdeen, but nonetheless, you know,
00:44at half-time when they were going to the KMN, we basically had to win that game.
00:48But I thought we went about it in the right way, players were very good.
00:51We've seen games where a opponent can beat 11, you know.
00:55So I thought our players were about the business very, very well.
00:58And in the end, deserved a win.
01:00Does it feel like a kind of, you know, watershed moment getting that first win in 15 years in the top league for Falkirk,
01:07but just getting it done early as well for this group of players?
01:10Yeah.
01:11Although, as you say, it was only our third game, we have a given hand on a number of teams.
01:15So, yeah, there's a long way to go and there's plenty of time to win your first game,
01:20but you do want to try and get that out of the way as soon as you possibly can.
01:23So it was a great opportunity for us, I say, you know, playing against 10 men for the whole second half.
01:29And, you know, I say, players went about their business very well.
01:32But, yeah, it kind of, like, there wasn't a, you know, a monkey on our back.
01:36It wasn't anything like that.
01:38But, nonetheless, we've got a team that's been used to winning.
01:41We are being used to winning.
01:43We want to try and get that first win as soon as possible.
01:45And, ideally, can we build on that?
01:48So, yeah, that's exactly how it is.
01:52It was obviously a great start for Kyron Wilson, coming off the bench and getting that go.
01:56In general, with the squad kind of shaping that you've done, how happy are you with it?
02:01How well have these guys bedded in and are ready to give you that kind of depth you require for a season in this league?
02:07Yeah, in some ways, that was quite a good thing, getting them in and having a better time to work with them over this period.
02:13Unfortunately, Kyrell got an injury in a game against Green Spark to his ankle, so he's going to miss out of the weekend.
02:19But, yeah, no, it's been good. We brought five players in in that last few days at the window.
02:26All players that were kind of, like, pigeonholed for exactly what we required.
02:32And, hopefully, you know, you never, ever know. There's a gamble and everything.
02:37Hopefully, you know, Kyrell certainly hit the ground running.
02:40And, as I said at the day, we'd certainly integrate into the squad very quickly if you're getting the guys their bonus money for winning three points.
02:47And, yeah, good to get Ethan Williams in the door, Sam Hart in the door, Big Trey, yeah.
03:03Phillip's a good player as well.
03:06Phillip Lassai, he looks a very good player.
03:08Yeah, so the squad's very strong now, really, really strong.
03:12The quality has stepped up in the training.
03:16You know, we've always had good training season, don't get me wrong, but the whole thing just went up a little bit, which is good, which is great.
03:22Paul Donaldson came back into training today with the team for the first time, as did Finn Yates and Barney Stewart.
03:29So, the squad's getting stronger, which is exactly what you want.
03:35Sam Martin speaking, they're a great example of the sort of team in this league where you've got players and manager who just know the league inside out.
03:41They understand how to get results here.
03:43Do you feel like you're ready to kind of look with these guys who have been doing it year in, year out, and they just know how to grind out and get three points here?
03:51So, Mirna, the benchmark, is a football club for us.
03:56They got promoted in 17, 18, and they've been in the league ever since.
04:01So, that's, you know, from that point of view, in that time, they've been able to grow their football club.
04:06They've got a great, sorry, youth system going.
04:09They've got their own kind of training ground that's probably been built on a little bit over the years with more money.
04:15And that's exactly where we want to be.
04:17I mean, enormous credit to everyone at the same time, and obviously the manager in recent years getting sixth place the last two seasons, getting into Europe the season before.
04:26He's done an amazing job having just, you know, 17, 18, getting promoted, coming out of the championship.
04:33And that's where we find ourselves right now.
04:34And if we can be in the championship in the premiership in seven years now, then this football club will be in an amazing place.
04:42So, you know, they are the benchmark.
04:45Yeah, they know how to win games.
04:48And, yeah, that's exactly.
04:50Every game's a test for us right now to reassure ourselves that we are at this level, you know, and winning games does that.
04:58Better look at how well St Mirna's doing.
05:00You know, the last game was against Hibbs.
05:02They go into the road and they come away with a one-each draw.
05:06And if we can go and mix it with teams like St Mirna who are doing it against Hibbs, then there's no reason why we can't do it against everyone.
