Artistic Director of Found in the Forest Youth Theatre group reflects on her first day
Transcript
00:00It was absolutely brilliant. I'm delighted that we had the numbers that we had.
00:04Obviously the marketing has paid off over the last little phase.
00:08It just feels like coming home. This space is looking absolutely amazing.
00:13I first came here maybe four years ago when there was holes in the ceiling and buckets gathering the water
00:19and now it is like a professional theatre.
00:22So a lot of the games this evening because it's our first session back is around building ensemble.
00:26So that's about working as a team, supporting each other, listening, looking, opening our peripherals to the space
00:34and seeing where you are in relation to the others in the space so that the game can be successful.
00:42Every week we'll be building on working towards a performance for a winter show.
00:49So this first term is a great time to come and try things out.
00:52And then in term two, sort of after that October half term, we'll be working towards a show.
00:57As part of this project we do the rural touring scheme and that is programming family theatre shows,
01:03professional family theatre shows. So come along, buy tickets, come and see those shows as well.
01:08A big up to AirNG for funding this via the Arts Council and a big up to Abbey Wright for setting up this group
01:16and keeping it thriving over the last two years.
01:18We'll see you next time.
