00:00Hey, it's People in 10. So we all remember the notorious Coldplay concert Kiss Cam. Yep,
00:10that one. Well, now the husband of the woman caught on camera with her boss is speaking out.
00:15News of their divorce came over the weekend, but Kristen Kabat's ex Andrew is claiming they were
00:20already privately and amicably separated weeks before the concert. He's also asking for privacy,
00:27which we get, and that's all he's got to say. Meanwhile, Kristen and her former boss,
00:31Andy Byron, haven't publicly addressed their relationship, but they've both left their
00:36company, Astronomer, in the wake of the scandal. Iowa Debery gave a masterclass in grace when she
00:43was deliberately snubbed by a reporter, and now she's going viral for it. So when an Italian
00:48interviewer asked only her co-stars Andrew Garfield and Julia Roberts about Me Too and Black Lives
00:53Matter, I mean, you can understand their confusion here, right? Well, Ayo swooped in and answered the
00:58question anyway. She said she wasn't sure if she was excluded on purpose, but noted there's still
01:03important work being done for both movements in Hollywood. You all loved her for it, but the
01:07reporter? Not so much. She's speaking out, writing that she's been unjustly accused of racism in a
01:13post that one person said makes it even worse. It's the royal reunion we've been waiting for.
01:20King Charles and Prince Harry have finally met up after 19 months apart. So Harry was in London
01:26on Wednesday when Charles returned to the city from Scotland. And when he was spotted stopping
01:31by Clarence House, we knew what was happening. A little father-son tea time. Very nice. But don't
01:36expect to see Harry meeting his brother on this trip. Why, you ask? Well, while Harry was at Windsor
01:41Castle visiting his grandmother's grave three years after her death, William was marking the anniversary
01:46with Princess Kate just eight miles away. Seemed like the perfect opportunity to reconnect. But
01:52alas, Harry had other things to focus on anyway. He was there for the Wellchild Awards and some other
01:58charity visits, and he had a blast. His wife Megan even noticed from across the pond. She was shared a
02:04video of his playful sword fight with a little one, topping it off with a heart emoji. And Sabrina Carpenter
02:10channeled her inner icon at the VMAs this week. We've seen the bedazzled look before. It was
02:16seemingly inspired by Britney Spears and the Bob Mackie ensemble from her tour back in 2001. While
02:22Brit wore it to sing Baby One More Time, Sabrina hit the stage to perform her new single, Tears. And you
02:29can't do it without some rain. But she didn't stop there. For the after party, she wore another Mackie
02:36archival piece made 50 years ago for the one and only Cher. She's got you, babe. This next one comes
02:43to us from Canada, where Jacob Elordi premiered his new film Frankenstein at the Toronto Film Festival.
02:49But he was not alone. That's Olivia Jade peeking out from behind the step and repeat. His ex, if you
02:55believe the reports from last month. We had the exclusive. But have they rekindled their romance since?
03:02Sure looks like it. He's even helping carry her dress up the stairs. Hmm. Keeping an eye on these
03:08two. Emma Hemming is defending her family dynamic amid her husband Bruce Willis' aphasia diagnosis.
03:15It was a hard decision for us, but that was the safest and best decision, not just for Bruce,
03:21but also for our two young girls. Emma revealed to Diane Sawyer a couple weeks ago that she'd
03:26moved Bruce into his own home with 24 hours supervision. You all had a lot to say about it.
03:33And Emma knew you would, but she doesn't care. It's really not up for a debate to, you know,
03:39now I know that Bruce has the best care 100% of the time. His needs are met 100% of the time,
03:45as well as our two young daughters. So I'm not going to take a vote on that. And you shouldn't have to.
03:51It's that time of the year again. Television's biggest night is on Sunday,
03:56and we're kicking off Emmy weekend in style with Volkswagen Tijuan.
04:01So let's look back on some beautiful and bold fashion from Emmys past.
04:08Hey, Darren, what's going on? Hey, Katherine. Oh, well, the 2025 Emmys are finally here,
04:13and I'm so excited. I think the fashion is what I look forward to the most. What are some celebs that
04:18have gotten it right in years past? Yeah, the fashion is always the most fun part of these
04:22nights. And for me, Zendaya kills it every single time. And while she's not nominated this year,
04:27her looks from 2019 and 2022 totally live rent free in my head, especially her 2022 black ball
04:33gown was so simple and beautiful. Another simple black ball gown was in 2015 when Lady Gaga wore this
04:39really understated Brandon Maxwell gown. There's also some pops of color that I really love. And then
04:44throwing it way back to 2003, where Sarah Jessica Parker was really channeling Harry Bradshaw with
04:49this pink strapless gown. But what about my fellas? What about my guys? Yes, on the top of my list is
04:53always Coleman Domingo. He really knows how to incorporate elegance, like with this Emmy look in
04:582024. His brooch was absolutely incredible. There's also Donald Glover in 2017 giving a pop of color.
05:04We also had all five of the Queer Eye guys who looked so fabulous. If you had to pick, I know this is
05:10hard. One couple that's been on point. I think I have to pick two. Viola Davis and Julius Tennant
05:15in 2019 were so chic with their coordinated black and white looks. And then in 2018,
05:20John Legend and Chrissy Teigen really brought it with these contrasting colors and Chrissy's touch
05:25of sparkle. This is getting me so excited. Thank you so much for the fashion insight,
05:30Catherine, and enjoy the show. No problem, you too. In this week's People Cover Story, Robert Irwin
05:36is all grown up. I was just born to be wild. We wouldn't expect anything less from the son of
05:43Steve Irwin. He might have left us two decades ago, but he's ever present in his son's life.
05:48He is still part of every day. He's part of every conversation. He is part of my life. And I feel
05:54as though I get a little part of him back in some way in every conversation I have about him.
05:59One big thing he learned from his dad? Understanding what it means to truly live. You've got to live life to
06:05the fullest and you've got to surround yourself with people who lift you up.
06:08With that in mind, Robert's taken on Dancing with the Stars and following in his sister's footsteps.
06:14But he isn't too confident about going all the way like she did.
06:17I don't have the skills, but I've got the passion. I know I'm going to give this every ounce of my being
06:24and we'll just hope for the best. Bear with us while we connect the dots here.
06:29So Robert is on Dancing with the Stars this season, competing against Jen and Whitney from The Secret
06:33Lives of Mormon Wives. And now their co-star Taylor Frankie Paul is getting a piece of that ABC pie,
06:39too. She's our new bachelorette for season 22 of the franchise.
06:43It's surreal. It has not hit me like right now in this moment. I'm just thinking about it and it's
06:50like, it's not real. The mom of three admits she's nervous, but who wouldn't be? And her family was
06:55shocked by the news, but they're also excited. Her Hulu co-stars have all given her positive feedback,
07:01too. At least that's what it seems like. I think most of them are going to be happy for me and
07:07support me. I can't speak for everyone and what they actually truly think. You know, you never really
07:11know. We'll be tuning in. All right, Mako, take it away. Now it's a sit down with Tom Pelfrey. Hi, Tom.
07:19We got a sneak peek of your new show, Task, which airs Sundays on HBO Max. It was created by Brad
07:25Inglesby, who we also have to thank for mayor of Easttown. In what ways is this role, unlike any other role
07:30you've had before? Oh gosh, I mean, I've never done something that felt so close to home in so many ways.
07:36You know, like the people, the place reminds me so much of my childhood, people I grew up with.
07:43Like there's a real sense of home in it that was so exciting to me and thrilling and
07:51made me so happy to live in that place. I heard that Kaylee actually read the script before you even did.
07:57Do you two always read each other's scripts? Kaylee and I always read each other's scripts.
08:02Just so, just so you know, because I feel like this thing has gotten taken a little out of context.
08:07Kaylee and I always read any, any script she gets, she sends to me and I read. Any script I get,
08:11I send to her and she reads. This one in particular, I was very busy at the time, so I had it waiting for
08:17me to read and I hadn't read it yet. And she was like, come on, I'm bored. Give me something. I was like,
08:21I got this script. You know, you could read it. And when she read it, she was like,
08:28this is insane. And she goes like, hold on, hold on. Did he write this for you? Like, do you know him?
08:37We both had the same feelings about it, which is like, I've never been quicker to yell. Yes.
08:43Love how you're both so involved in each other's projects. Would you ever work together?
08:47Well, we are interested in that. It's going to really have to be the right thing. So
08:52it'll probably take a while. Kaylee tends to live more comedically.
08:58I'm sorry. Is that a challenge? Or are you just dropping a hint that you're single?
09:02Whereas, you know, often people don't let me within 10 foot of a comedy.
09:07I remember what my mind was before the thing happened that ruined my mind.
09:13I have so much respect for her and admiration, but I know enough. I know myself well enough to
09:19know I can never work like she does. Likewise, sometimes she sees me work intensely and
09:26and she's like, what are you doing? What are you doing? You know, so in a fun way,
09:30in a fun way, we both do the same thing, but we constantly, you know, reflect on that. It feels like
09:36we have different jobs. And so it allows for us to discuss work in a way that we both know what
09:42we're talking about and we can be helpful to each other. The approach is so different. It feels like
09:46we're talking about two different things, figuring out how those different things can come together
09:51and what the right vehicle for that would be. We're definitely interested in doing it. But so far,
09:56we haven't found what we felt like was the right thing. Is your family still in the Northeast?
10:01Did you get to bring your mom around set or show your daughter Matilda around?
10:05Yes. This was one of the great things about the job is like where we were filming.
10:11I rented a house and Kaylee and Matilda were with me. But also my family is so close that
10:18they could come and visit. My mom came at least once a week. Grandma got to see Matilda. Matilda
10:24loves her grandma. My grandmother got to come. So Matilda got to spend time with her great grandma.
10:30Some of my aunts came, my family, a bunch of my friends. I'm still very close with a lot of the guys
10:36I've known since I was three years old. They came to the house. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it was very,
10:41it was a very special job in that sense. Like I really felt a sense of home.
10:46Okay. We're going to put 10 seconds on the clock. Tell everyone why they should check out
10:50TASK on HBO Max. Check out TASK because it'll be the best show you see this year.
10:57Tom, thank you so much for stopping by today. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. This was fun.
