A 94-year-old man and his 62-year-old son were killed when their single-storey terrace house in Kampung Sri Indah A, Sungai Buloh, Selangor, was destroyed by fire early Thursday (Sept 11).

00:06Sri Inda A, Sungai Bulo, was destroyed in a fire early Thursday.
00:11Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Operation Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said
00:16an emergency call was received at 12.50 a.m., and the first fire engine from the Sungai
00:22Bulo station arrived within 10 minutes.
00:24He said the blaze engulfed about 80 percent of the house. Two victims, a 94-year-old father
00:31and his 62-year-old son, were found dead inside. The operation, assisted by fire stations from
00:37Damansara, Rawang and Bukit Jelutong, involved 28 firefighters and eight vehicles, including
00:44a fire rescue tender, emergency medical rescue services, and water tankers. Two cars parked
00:51outside were also 80 percent destroyed. The fire was fully extinguished by 3.40 a.m.
00:57Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by health ministry personnel. Ahmad Mukhlis said
01:03the department's K-9 detection unit was deployed to assist in forensic investigations, while
01:09the victims' remains were handed over to police for further action. Firefighters later returned
01:15in the morning for follow-up checks to ensure the fire did not reignite.
