00:32It is not by chance that we have been so intrigued by the legends of Atlantis, because in a certain
00:38sense our current race and civilization begins from the time of Atlantis.
00:43But where does this myth of this mysterious sunken island come from?
00:48One of the most famous in early mentions of Atlantis comes from the Greek philosopher Plato
00:53around 360 BC in two of his dialogues, Critias and Timaeus.
01:00Plato gave a detailed description of a country on a fertile land that he called Atlantis.
01:06He describes it as a vast island which before sinking around 10,000 years BC was located
01:12in the Atlantic Ocean, beyond the Pillars of Hercules, which are generally thought to refer
01:18to the Strait of Gibraltar.
01:21His knowledge of Atlantis most likely came from Solon, an Athenian lawmaker and philosopher
01:28who around 600 BC on a trip to Egypt learned of a great civilization that has existed 9,000
01:36years earlier.
01:37The subject of Atlantis fascinated Plato and it is believed that in order to learn more,
01:43he consulted with students of Pythagoras and others who were familiar with the ancient mythological,
01:50historical and geological knowledge.
01:52Undoubtedly, Plato received some of his knowledge from initiates who were members of secret brotherhoods
01:59guarding the ancient histories.
02:01In the past, as you know, these mystery schools kept wisdom from the uninitiated as it helped
02:07ensure the safety of knowledge during danger.
02:10For most of his life, Plato refrained from writing about Atlantis.
02:16Only as he neared the end of his life did he pass on his information about the sunken continent
02:22in attempt to ensure that the lost civilization's history is preserved.
02:27For his account of Atlantis, Plato also had access to ancient records such as those in the
02:32remarkable library of Alexandria, which, Edgar Cayce says, was established by the Atlanteans
02:39in 10,300 BC.
02:42Plato's Atlantis was certainly a large island, perhaps the size of Western Europe, but by
02:47no means the size of an actual continent.
02:51According to him, it possessed an abundance of natural resources and was particularly rich
02:56in metals, including the famous and mysterious Orychalcum.
03:03The capital of Atlantis was located on the south coast of the island and was connected to the
03:08sea by a huge canal.
03:10The city had a circular shape of three concentric rings separated by motes.
03:16The inner citadel was about 5 km in diameter, but the entire walk area measured 23 km.
03:25This made the city about twice the size of imperial Rome.
03:29In the central island stood the palace of the kings and the main temple of Atlantis.
03:36In Plato's words, the Atlanteans possessed such an amount of wealth as had never before
03:42been possessed by kings and rulers and is unlikely ever to be again.
03:47The few things which the city and island itself did not provide were brought to them from foreign
03:52countries because of the greatness of their empire.
03:56Plato's most famous dialogue about Atlantis, the Critias, unfortunately survives incomplete,
04:03but from another of his dialogues, The Laws, we learn that Atlantis was destroyed in a single
04:08day and night due to a catastrophic event and this fall was followed by a long dark age in
04:14which all the arts and sciences were lost.
04:19But can we trust Plato for his account of Atlantis?
04:23And do we know how the surface of the earth and in particular the part around the northwest
04:28coast of Africa looked like more than 12,000 years ago at the time of the supposed existence
04:34of Atlantis?
04:36Although Plato's account certainly provides interesting information about the existence
04:41of Atlantis, it still does not give us enough data as to where exactly Atlantis was located.
04:48To learn more we must turn to geology and oceanography to the study of the evolution of the world's
04:54oceans.
04:55It is theorized that Atlantis was a volcanic continent located in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge region
05:02and primarily connected to Europe, Africa and North America by temporary land bridges.
05:08Atlantis has its great territorial expansion from 23 to 5.3 million years ago when it formed
05:16an almost continuous land mass stretching from the northern Appalachian continent to the
05:22southern tip of Africa.
05:24Then, till its disappearance Atlantis existed as two separate islands, a northern island
05:31Ruda or Poseidonis and a southern island Daetia.
05:36The northern island of Poseidonis still existed as a substantial land mass until the last ice
05:42age when it sank as a result of tectonic movements and a general rise in global sea levels.
05:50It is believed that the Azores and Madeira are some of the last parts of the Atlantic continent
05:55still above water.
05:57If we remove the waters of the ocean to see the bottom, the Mid-Atlantic Ridge would appear
06:02as a continuous mountain range, comparable in length to the Andes and Rockies of America
06:07combined and in heights comparable to the Himalayas.
06:11Today's Azores, Madeira, Cape Verde and the Canary Islands represent only the highest peaks
06:18of this submerged chain.
06:21But was Atlantis really located there?
06:25During the Middle Ages most ancient texts including Plato's Legend of Atlantis sank into oblivion.
06:32It wasn't until the Renaissance when people began to look back and rediscover ancient
06:37knowledge that interest in this sunken island resurfaced.
06:42Over the past 500 years many different theories have emerged about a continent lost in the Atlantic
06:48Ocean.
06:49But do they match the story told by Plato or do they hide within themselves another knowledge?
06:56And do we know who the Atlantians really were?
07:00How was their civilization created?
07:02Were aliens involved in the origin of Atlantis?
07:05As many speculate.
07:07An interesting and a little bit more esoteric hypothesis about the origin of Atlantis comes
07:12from Ishmael Perez, author of a new and very intriguing book, Our Cosmic Origin.
07:19In it he tells that Atlantis was created by humanoid beings from the Pleiades in the 5th dimension.
07:26They managed to integrate and maintain the balance between the spiritual and material worlds and
07:31as a result had a high technological development in harmony with the spiritual.
07:38The preceding great civilization, that of Lemuria or Mu, was highly concentrated only on the spiritual.
07:45They gradually began to lose touch with physical reality and the lower dimensions.
07:51This would raise the level of consciousness on the planet which was their mission but without
07:56the lower dimensions, being well integrated.
07:59Atlantis was the solution to connect the low to the high dimensions and integrate the two polarities.
08:07According to esoteric teachings and theosophy, humanity develops through seven great evolutionary
08:13cycles called root races which must gradually develop the collective consciousness of the planet.
08:19Each root race has physical and mental qualities completely different from those of the previous
08:25one as well as a specific mission to follow.
08:28Atlantis was the fourth root race and the first truly human and terrestrial race.
08:34Elena Blavatska, a Russian mystic and occultist, says that the fourth root race arose about
08:418 million years BC and she called it the race of the Red Men.
08:47But the beginning of the Atlantean civilization is shrouded in mystery.
08:52According to the esoteric tradition, the higher spiritual entities assumed human form and incarnated
08:59on earth at the beginning of the Atlantean period.
09:02Therefore, they were divine men, dual beings, supreme spirits who took human bodies, wrote the
09:09great philosopher and esoteric, Rudolf Steiner, who also added that their true home is not
09:17on earth.
09:18The first period of Atlantean civilization gave way to a second and then a third Neo-Atlantean
09:24period during which Atlantean civilization spread from its island homeland to other parts
09:30of the world.
09:32Each world age or period has been separated from the previous one by natural cataclysms,
09:37great earth cataclysms of which the final submersion of Atlantis in 9600 BC was the latest.
09:45Do we know what the Atlanteans looked like?
09:48Theosophical teaching describes the fourth race as giants.
09:53Although their bodies were reduced in height compared to those of the Lemurians, they were
09:59relatively taller than us and this gave rise to numerous legends of Cyclops and Titans mentioned
10:05in many ancient traditions.
10:08According to Blavatsk, the Atlanteans were the race that teach the pinnacle of physical
10:14development.
10:15She says, then came the Atlanteans, the giants whose physical beauty and strength reached
10:21their culmination in accordance with evolutionary law.
10:26In principle, the Atlanteans possessed a third eye developed during the Lemurian race which
10:32had spiritual functions.
10:34In time however, with the improvement of the human structure, the materiality and the corruption
10:39of mankind, the third eye gradually disappeared.
10:43Edgar Cayce, the famous psychic and healer also talks about life in Atlantis.
10:49Most of its information relates to the last 20,000 years of the civilization's existence
10:55but it also gives details of the early stages of development.
10:59Cayce says that people appeared on earth in five places at the same time.
11:04The yellow race in the Gabi, the white in the Carpathians, the red in the Atlantic and
11:10American lands, the brown in the Andes and the black in Africa.
11:15This happened more than 10,500,000 years ago.
11:20Based on them we get the information that the five races were the sons of God mentioned
11:25in the Bible.
11:26The daughters of men with whom they made the mistake of mating were actually the original
11:31strange forms left over from the early attempts at material projection.
11:37The result was a race of hybrids.
11:40At the beginning of the Atlantean civilization a difference arose regarding these hybrids.
11:46One group, the children of the law of one, wanted to keep the human race pure but helped
11:51the hybrids regain their position as God's creatures.
11:55The other group, the sons of Belial, believed only in sensual gratification and treated hybrids
12:01as slaves.
12:02According to Cayce, Atlantis disappeared in three separate cataclysms around 50,000 BC,
12:0928,000 BC and 10,000 BC.
12:12The first of these because of the use of advanced technology for destructive purposes and the
12:18second destruction was preceded by fighting between the two factions.
12:22Then the children of the law of unity emigrated to Peru, Yucatan, Nevada, Colorado, the Pyrenees
12:29and Egypt.
12:31During the last third period of Atlantis is the time when Egypt reached a high level of civilization
12:37and the pyramids and the sphinx were built.
12:41But let's now look another story, one involving the Galactic Federation and alien beings fighting
12:48for control on earth.
12:50This account about the creation of the Atlantean civilization is given by Matthias de Stefano,
12:55an indigo child who remembers his distant past life in the Atlantean colony of Khem, current
13:01Egypt.
13:02Matthias recounts that Atlantis was built in 16,000 BC by the Aesir, a race of extraterrestrial
13:11giants, also known as Anunnaki, between the Azores, Canaries and Cape Green Islands.
13:18The Aesir came to earth seeking a place to live and for digging precious metals.
13:24They settled in the Middle East where they conducted DNA experiments with earth people to create
13:29the optimal life form for the planet.
13:33The offspring of the Aesir and humans were Atlanteans, chosen for the truth and the only
13:39way for the Aesir to survive on earth and preserve their knowledge.
13:44Over time the Aesir split into two groups, one using humans as slaves and the other guiding
13:51and teaching them.
13:52The benevolent part of the Aesir and the Arcturians took some of their descendants away to protect
13:58them and to let them develop independently without the direct interference of extraterrestrial
14:04advanced civilizations.
14:06From them, 12 children were chosen to store information from each constellation, thus creating
14:11the 12 great families of Atlantis.
14:14The first islands settled were Kaifu, Cape Green, Echeron, Canary Islands and Eunuch Azores.
14:22The main city and center of the Empire was called Hephes and like Plato's description,
14:28it was circular in shape.
14:30At the peak of the Atlantean Empire, the islands were home to around 300,000 people and due to
14:38their presence of Arcturian DNA, the Atlanteans had blue blood and kept their bloodline pure
14:44to preserve their knowledge from the star people and guide the rest of humanity.
14:50If the Lemurians, the civilization before Atlantis, sought to reach a higher level of consciousness
14:56by looking inward, the Atlanteans were oriented outward toward the material world.
15:02They knew how to use sound and vibration to influence the world around them and they built
15:08devices to transmit information and energy all over the planet.
15:13Through them, they could heal, regenerate their bodies, connect with other dimensions.
15:18Thus, advanced technology and cosmic knowledge of energy use gave the Atlanteans incredible
15:24advantages and capabilities.
15:26But as we know, every single thing is good only when it is in balance.
15:31And what happens when the balance is disturbed?
15:35Interestingly, in most of the various sources of information related to the direction of
15:40the Atlanteans' development, the stories follow almost the same plot.
15:45As receivers of the knowledge of Lemuria, the Atlanteans began their development from the
15:49spiritual.
15:51For thousands of years they have followed the principles inherited from Mu, but at the same
15:56time they have also achieved unsurpassed technological success, thus maintaining the balance between
16:02the inner and the outer.
16:04At some point, however, a division occurred and one part of the Atlanteans began to pursue
16:09dominance over the entire planet.
16:12They started abusing the technology they have created causing a cataclysm, some say a pulse
16:18shift, others say they directed energy weapons at themselves causing the continent to sink.
16:24In esoteric beliefs, this is the moment of the fall after which humanity loses most of its
16:30energy abilities and enters the period of darkness.
16:36In our consciousness, Atlantis is remembered as the cradle of all that we can call occult
16:41and esoteric knowledge precisely because they mastered the use of the so-called life force.
16:48For a long period of time Atlantis flourished.
16:51Originally and from its inception Atlantis was in accordance with the principles of Lemuria
16:56which governed things according to the celestial order of light.
17:01All the sister colonies honored Lemuria as their motherland, for Lemuria was a representation
17:06of the feminine principle, based on freedom, harmony and spiritual community.
17:12The early Atlanteans lived in a perfect society just like the Lemurians and worshipped the divine
17:18feminine in balance with the divine masculine.
17:22Edgar Cayce described the Atlanteans of the early years of Atlantis as thinking people, people
17:27of intuitive influence, who had access to the future and the past.
17:33How did they achieve this?
17:35By developing the right side of the brain of their children and by respecting their insights
17:41and dreams.
17:42As infants, we are more open to our psychic senses.
17:46Not only because we are still very close to the other side of life but our speech is not
17:50fully developed so we have to rely on our feelings, senses to connect with the physical world.
17:56The Atlanteans easily taught their children how to use their psychic abilities and generally
18:02just rely on their intuition.
18:04As adults, some of them developed tremendous discipline of mind and devoted their lives to
18:09applying the knowledge they acquired.
18:11The lifestyle of the people of Atlantis also contributed to the preservation of their psychic
18:16abilities as they were always in close contact with the natural environment.
18:22According to the Austrian occultist Rudolf Steiner, the Atlanteans were the first to discover
18:28how to convert the life force into a force that can be applied for technological purposes
18:35by which many of the apparent miracles attributed to the Atlantean science were performed.
18:40Steiner describes this power as a power inherent in all living things, which manifests itself
18:48through the processes of germination and growth.
18:52The life force was known in ancient times as Prana or Mana.
18:56Occultists in the 19th and 20th century knew it as Vril, meaning the universal principle
19:03of life energy, life force or life magnetism.
19:07Control of the life force or Vril gave the Atlanteans almost superhuman powers over the entire world
19:14of manifestation and other spiritual realities.
19:17With the Vril, the Atlanteans were able to control time, manipulate matter, reverse gravity
19:23while also providing unlimited energy to power all manner of mechanical devices.
19:29They developed a technology that, while different from ours, is superior in many ways.
19:35The wildflower, fields and lush green forests of these beautiful lands were not disfigured
19:40by strips of metal and concrete to facilitate fast travel by bullet trains and automobiles.
19:47Instead, people managed to live happily without polluting the environment and depleting their
19:52natural resources.
19:54Edgar Cayce's readings meanwhile describe the Atlanteans gaining power from the Great
19:58crystal from sound and from the splitting of the atom.
20:02He says that with the energy flowing from the crystal, the people of Atlantis enjoyed traveling
20:08through air, water and under the sea, voice transmission over long distances and the benefits
20:14of lasers.
20:15Will the time come when we will fly freely in space just as the Atlanteans?
20:21And how exactly did they extract and direct this life energy?
20:27Using their highly developed skills, the Atlanteans were able to obtain energy from a wide variety
20:33of other sources, including the sun, the mind, the earth's magnetic field and sound.
20:39Edgar Cayce mentions the first important crystal in Atlantis as the Tuahoe stone.
20:45The Atlanteans originally amplified the light that its six sights received from the sun to enhance
20:52meditation and contemplation and to communicate with the spirit realm.
20:57After thousands of years, as humans became more materially oriented, the priests perfected
21:02the great crystal which, when properly controlled, magnified and directed the energy it gathered.
21:09With the source of infinite power, the Atlanteans gained the ability to travel through the air,
21:14on and under water.
21:16To construct the huge multi-phased stone, the Atlantean scientists placed a large piece
21:22of precision cut quartz crystal on top of a building that served as a solar-type transducer.
21:29In this open space, the facets of the crystal focused the energy from the sun's rays, just
21:35as parabolic mirrors do today.
21:37A movable dome over the top of the intricate quartz stone allowed skilled engineers to control
21:43the amount of light exposure from above.
21:46The Atlanteans lined the building with the crystal, with a non-conductive material similar
21:51to asbestos.
21:54Cayce describes a central power plant on Earth that provided the energy from the great crystal,
21:59allowing the Atlanteans to overcome gravity.
22:04According to Cayce, powerful beams from the great crystal sent the energy to receptor crystals
22:10which retarded.
22:11From there, the energy could be used to drive an electric or thermal engine in a vehicle
22:16or other mechanical device.
22:18This was one of the several examples of the Atlanteans' ability to transmit energy wirelessly.
22:24Cayce also mentions that the big crystal could have received energy from the stars, from various
22:30sources in space.
22:32We know the Bermuda Triangle stories.
22:35Many ships and low-flying planes have disappeared forever without any explanation in the Bermuda Triangle.
22:41If the radios are working, pilots sometimes report that their engines lose power, that their
22:47compasses rotate counterclockwise and that other navigational equipment behaves erratically
22:54or stops functioning.
22:56Suddenly, passengers find that they, along with their ships or planes, are in thick fog.
