00:12In her State of the Union speech, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen says Europe must do more,
00:19noting many member states have acted independently to push Israel to end its atrocities in Gaza.
00:25She denounced the man-made famine in Gaza and said Israel's action is a clear attempt to undermine the two-state solution.
00:36Von der Leyen added that bilateral support will also be put on hold,
00:40without affecting cooperation with Israeli civil society and Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust memorial.
00:46A Palestine donor group will also be launched next month, including a Gaza reconstruction fund.
00:51The Commission had previously proposed curbing Israeli access to its research funding program,
00:57but insufficient support from member states is still a barrier.
