00:00some pointers for my last game listen we are team that can play let's do that all right
00:12you don't have to send every single one up to manage come here grind it out get a result go home
00:17no mind games today okay boys come let's get in
00:20i can tell you right any team that plays against snl wants to win us the motivation and the fight to
00:31want to win us is definitely more than us wanting to win them so it's a game for them to win and for
00:37us to lose i think the germans they are like typical uh brexit football i would say they're
00:42strong they're physical they win every 50 50 every tackle every game with them is always a tough one
00:48man and um one of the teams i i i don't want to play against because i know that you know any
00:54tackle or what is going to be a hard one the next morning
01:03their whole team is quite passionate about football and quite keen on getting good results
01:07i would say they are the most physical team the gaffer bearing instructions for us is always
01:12to not concede any set pieces and corners against them
01:19my name is aloysius i play mostly as a defender
01:22obviously he's a very dependable player he's one of the really good defenders that we have on the team
01:27i think he's a tank sometimes i feel bad for the winners that come out against him because he's so
01:32strong and he's quick as well he's very no-nonsense so he helps keeps us safe keeps the ball away from the
01:37goal he fit our profile so much the mental resilience the drive and i saw that aloy had that and he was
01:44more than happy to be part of us i love football a lot i fell in love with the sport not like many of
01:52the footballers i only fell in love with football at the age of 13. it was the 2006 world cup or that
01:59piqued my interest while actually football is very interesting and i like it however watching and actually
02:05playing it is very different so back then i wasn't i wasn't uh to the requirement of snl you know
02:12snl actually everybody has a certain form of technical abilities and also understanding of the
02:16game and then back then i wasn't up to that standard i couldn't i i was disruptive i would say
02:21so i told aloy uh sorry lah you can't join us for now he thought of the team first
02:26they need to start winning games they need to continue to play football and therefore they had to
02:30remove him and i totally understand but of course you asked me out was i said i was sad but that's
02:35just how life works yeah that was the first time he got rejected and for aloy this was his story
02:41throughout his life back then in secondary one i was a chummy boy there were instances where i go
02:48trading i didn't even touch the ball and it was a big hurdle to overcome
02:52we are very competitive team we all have the same mentality we just want to win that's what we think
03:02about this is what we want to do we hate to lose and we'll find a way to win i love playing with them
03:09as well because i'm also competitive bad loser and all of us are aligned right i really hate playing
03:14with teammates that are really okay with mediocrity which is why i really enjoy playing with snl
03:26i think one thing i like of my teammates right is that in games they put their body in front of the
03:30ball i think that's that's most important you cannot be afraid you need to protect the ball like you
03:34really want it we have to win those 50 50 chances and that's where we get ahead we win more the ball
03:39get more possession of the ball
03:47then come in the camera and see yourself come
03:52can you see can you see
03:56you want to smile
04:01she finds this new thing piece so if you think smile right you have to do this
04:05my name is manish bream i play the striker position for snl
04:13he's very decisive he knows what he wants to do i've never seen such a clinical striker in my
04:19amateur football journey before until i met manesh one of the best strikers that you'll find today
04:24he's like an absolute beast powerful striker to have i mean he he received the i believe he was
04:30a top scorer for the x-league so the accolades speak for themselves
04:35all right next up
04:38here he comes
04:39put your hands together for the top scorer of division one season 15
04:45the green
04:55football for me growing up has always been an avenue of an escape so i didn't have a very
05:02strong fatherly figure also um when i didn't feel like i was so interested in school a little aimless
05:08i think football gave me a good direction it kept me grounded in that sense i always knew that maybe i
05:14wasn't so academically inclined in primary school so it got me an application to secondary school
05:19through dsa so i had to focus on it as well and use it to my advantage
05:30the weakness of snl is we always take some time to start our engine right the first 10 minutes the
05:36lack of concentration is always there
05:41there are times when we actually lose our composure we ended up being very anxious and just play not
05:49how we would like to play i think when our attack breaks down and there's a bit of counter attack here
05:54and there we are not able to cover the space well or we are not able to handle the 1v1 well sometimes
06:06this view is really very heavy you all kick the ball you all know okay don't hold the ball for too
06:12long you all know who you want to pass to you see the opponent's start to make a move already right
06:16let's play pass the ball don't forget ah there's a there's a just a very silver lining within complacency
06:22and making that one extra and drawing them in okay remember that i must say that there were added pressure
06:28that you know we really need to get this i would say it's a good thing that we really want to not lose
06:36i think any mistake we made against them in that game they they got a goal with it you know so we
06:53were a bit careless in that game and they took advantage of it we're not afraid when we go down
06:57because we know we'll get it back so i think the mentality of the team is very good one of the strongest
07:02in the league
07:10as another the team is competitive at its core we are a team that wants to win
07:24we didn't really get going that day i feel i think the big pitch we were struggling a little bit with the
07:28set of players that we have that day so yeah i think once the first goal went in once the second
07:33goal went in then yeah it was more or less we found it really hard to get back from there
07:50we lost our winning streak against them that was a tough tough loss and it was a sloppy loss i would
08:05say and i think having a winning streak hanging over our heads also plays a little bit in a mental side
08:11it's actually right like like the there isn't an expectation i would say or like the first thing
08:18that we should focus on whenever we play a game is to win or not to lose i would say the tension uh
08:24was eased off quite a bit even though we lose that game so it's like more of like anyway we really
08:28lose really right what's losing another game like i think the loss is good for us before the cup final
08:36at least we got it out of the way we don't have any record anymore we can play free maybe it's a good
08:41game to build on the the next game we have we have a long season ahead we are still in a race for the
08:46league title i think uh we're okay we're okay we'll get better from you
09:06i didn't see this coming i mean if we were to lose the unwritten streak i figured that it would be
09:13some other teams i think we were a little bit too complacent not focused enough
09:21the remaining games are just as important now we have to be consistent we have to continue picking
09:26up the three points one loss doesn't define us so we just have to go again i think snl as a team we
09:32we take losses hard and i think every time we lose we'll go back and we'll try to make sure that
09:38it doesn't happen again next game i'm telling you we will go hard again after our loss today and make
09:43sure that we always come back from uh from a defeat right after the loss against the germans the pressure
09:49was much less the next game we won against kamikaze 11-2 second game against them 8-0 the following game
10:00we beat shamrock 5-1 and importantly after that we beat rksb 3-1 next against bukitima we won 3-0
10:11we beat dfa 2-1
10:15we won 5-0 against that team
10:20i think it woke the team up and um sometimes it's better to lose the winning streak and lose early in
10:26the season and then understand and from then kick off and play much better so i think it worked to
10:30our favor a little bit yeah
10:36in 2021 i was ready to move on to the next step which is uh do something of my own something i like
10:42then the opportunity came my current boss i remember that day he came to the coffee shop
10:46that i was helping my dad with he asked hey are you interested to do optics or not
10:51and i said hey i have no experience in optics i said you i don't need you to experience but i need you
10:56to have the mentality and the willingness to run the company the chong the chong that that's a very
11:03important trade that he wanted so this is one of the smallest projector that you can find in the market
11:07today that uses mine optics so it doesn't require any battery you just already pump the projector
11:15you want someone who is young who is willing to tough it out with him in this startup venture so i
11:27co-founded the company and it's a four-year-old company i was given the opportunity and i'm very
11:32thankful for him for giving this opportunity i always wanted to have a family i always wanted to be a
11:37father as well you know i always really look at the bright side of it so sometimes when you go through
11:42troubles or an experience like that you feel that what can you take away from it so for me is that
11:47i want to make sure that i'm a present person a strong fatherly figure have good values transfer
11:53that to my daughter and also make sure that i'm always going to be there for her when she needs me
11:58right today we'll be playing uh shambroc our second last league game of the season if we win today we uh
12:12technically can lose against rtsp in the last game of the season next week but uh it'll go down to go
12:19defense however uh if we don't get a win today then next week's game will be uh will have to be a
12:27must win yeah so we must really take this game seriously every time we face them they are slightly
12:32different in terms of their players so maybe the chemistry sometimes is not there there's one
12:36thing i will always remind the team to exploit
12:38so we're going to be able to get a win we're competitive we don't give chances
13:02army changed me a lot my greatest fear in my life is heights
13:07as a commando i was required to do parachuting so on my very first jump right we feed up the
13:12parachute already when the core was asked to stand up i raised my hand to signal that there was an
13:16issue and i didn't want to jump so everybody else jumped except me and i came down with the chimney
13:23there was a turning point in my life so i remember i came down then the oc of the avon course you know
13:28he spoke to me i said hey what happened he shared with me that even he jumped so many times every time he
13:35jump the fear is today it's about how we overcome so he gave me a chance he told me okay i'm going to
13:43arrange you for another jump in 10 days i can tell you that 10 days i was one of the toughest
13:49period of my life i need to like focus i need to like uh suck myself for that day i remember that day
13:55when i jump i jump twice
14:03that was a big turning point in my life because i overcome my greatest fear things in life is going
14:07to be not going to be easy but it's how we face it how we put our mind and how we set our mind to it
14:11and overcome it i knew that being disciplined and consistent um gave me an advantage in life
14:19so i think that i grew up and matured a little bit i felt that in order to be a better player you should
14:23be more fit so i think a part of avenue directed me towards um fitness i felt that if i was focusing
14:30more on my health it would ground me give me some stability and then get more direction
14:43for me when i play football i don't think too much about how the opponents are like it's more about
14:48what we do as a team because it's always we are always adapting it's almost certain that we will
14:53score goes every game
15:16we try to win at every tournament that we are in every league that we're in this year might be tricky
15:23hopefully we win the league man let's hopefully we win the league so let's see what happens again
