00:00So we're here near Lidbury North in Shropshire and we're here with Elle. Hello, madam.
00:05Hello.
00:05Elle, you've got quite a special business really. It's called Keepsake Jewelry by Elle.
00:13And just tell us what exactly that is. What do you do?
00:16So I pop ashes or hair or small fragments of a special place into jewelry as a special keepsake.
00:27And what I didn't realise, perhaps what I didn't think about, is it can be ashes of people.
00:33But also a lot of your work is ashes of people's beloved pets.
00:38Yes, I actually have a display in Greenhill Pet Crematorium as well.
00:43And I have another one in the pipeline for another pet crematorium.
00:47So a lot of people do want their pets with them.
00:53Pets mean they're part of your family.
00:55I understand that, having lost our cat.
00:59And you've actually got some of your cat's hairs in that pendant you've got round your neck there, haven't you?
01:04I have.
01:05Which is fantastic.
01:06Little Frankie.
01:07Little Frankie, is it?
01:08Little Frankie.
01:09Yeah.
01:09So he's with you all the time.
01:11And so like you say, you can use ashes of people, pets.
01:15It could be a fragment of a stone from a special place.
01:19It could be, yeah, it could even be for maybe if somebody wanted to remember where they were proposed to.
01:29Yeah.
01:30A little bit of sand from that beach, the honeymoon beach.
01:34It can be used more broadly and I'm happy to do so.
01:39And you can be put into rings, pendants.
01:43Yeah.
01:44Earrings, bracelets, small charms.
01:48There is a men's selection as well on the website.
01:52And people can choose the colour of the stone.
01:55And you've got a large range of different coloured, is it opals?
02:00I use Bello Opal.
02:01So it's a synthetic opal, but that's to get the colour that you want.
02:06Yeah.
02:07So that you can have a choice of colours.
02:10And if people want to find out a bit more about kind of the range of the products and so on,
02:15where can they get hold of some more information?
02:17Do they just Google Keepsake Jewellery by Elle?
02:21Is that as simple as that?
02:22It is www.keepsakejewellerybyelle.co.uk.
02:27And are you kind of getting orders and sending them out quite far and wide then?
02:34It's mostly fairly local because of where I've advertised.
02:38Yeah.
02:38But I am looking to expand.
02:42But I do like the element that if people want to build that trust with me and meet me,
02:48that obviously is a very local, it has to be local for that.
02:54But I'm more than happy to do that nationwide, UK.
02:59And you said you're very, we were chatting off camera, you're very sympathetic to, you know,
03:04that for some people it's quite an emotional process really.
03:06And you kind of give the customers that time that they need to discuss.
03:12Absolutely.
03:13It's such a huge thing for somebody to consider sending their loved one's ashes or pets to me.
03:22So I want to build that trust.
03:24And I understand from my own losses how difficult this time can be.
03:30Well, what a lovely way to kind of keep that memory alive.
03:34Thank you for letting us into your world, Elle.
03:37Thank you for coming.
