An impromptu jamming session by Delhi Police at Connaught Place won hearts.
Transcript
00:00These police personnel had an impromptu jamming session at Delhi's Connaught Place.
00:22This side quest struck a chord with the public while many praised it.
00:25Others pointed out if someone else had jammed, they would have been asked to leave.
00:29Take Varun Dagar, for example, a well-known busker celebrated for his flute, dance and
00:33soulful singing.
00:34In 2023, while performing at Connaught Place, he was allegedly beaten and manhandled by Delhi
00:39police and parking staff.
00:41Busking is performing music, singing, dancing or other art in public for voluntary tips.
00:46Busking is usually allowed in India, especially if it's original or non-copyrighted music,
00:51as long as it doesn't violate decency or public nuance laws.
00:54A similar incident occurred in February 2025, where a police officer was seen unplugging
00:58the mic when British singer Ed Shereen surprised everyone on Bengaluru's Church Street.
01:03Although Shereen took to Instagram, stating his performance was planned and had taken permission,
01:07but police denied the claim, saying no permission was given for Church Street and clarified it
01:11was shut down due to public nuance and footpath blocking.
01:14What do you think?
01:15Does the performance by these police personnel count as busking?
