00:00Bristol Rovers won against Newport County in League Two on Saturday afternoon by three goals to two,
00:06making it three wins in succession now in League Two for the gas,
00:11pleasing manager Daryl Clark after the full-time whistle.
00:15I just said to my boys in the change rooms there, don't worry about that last 10-15 minutes, that's on me.
00:20One of two and four's changes.
00:21Fortunately we didn't really have a midfielder on the bench, a few injuries and away with international duty,
00:26so it's an I'll take that for the last 10-15 minutes, but nothing should take away the credit from the boys.
00:33First half it was a typical derby, not a lot in it.
00:36Second half we got after them a lot more, got three goals and then it's disappointing to hang on in there in the end,
00:41but the game's about winning and we won that.
00:43Yeah, after a really quiet, difficult first half, what do you think changed in the second to make it so different?
00:48Well, football's not easy, is it? It's a derby game.
00:51Listen, they're on the back of four or five straight defeats.
00:54You know, there's no real quick play, everybody's setting up the set pieces and there weren't a lot in the first half
00:59and I just said to my boys at half-time, we need to liven this up, raise the bar and get after them
01:04because I thought the win was there for the taking.
01:06We did that second half and, listen, unfortunately we're holding on a little bit there at the end,
01:11but three, three valuable away points.
01:14And Bristol Rovers' Alfie Chang, who was making his debut against Newport County,
01:19said that he was very pleased to get the win and an assist on his debut.
01:24I'm buzzing to take the three points. Obviously, it wasn't a nice feeling at the end of the game.
01:29It was very tense, them scoring two late goals, but we got there in the end, so it's positive.
01:34And from you, a debut at the start, when did you find out that you'd be in the XI?
01:38It was around midweek when we started doing shape and stuff, aiming towards this game.
01:44The gaffer spoke to me personally and, yeah, I'm grateful for the opportunity.
01:48Yeah, what was it being in the midfield with Camille and Josh out there?
01:52Obviously, I've trained a lot with Josh before at Birmingham, so I know how good he is on the ball especially.
01:58And Camille's brilliant as well, so I think we really connected well in the field.
02:02Yeah, it was a real quiet first half. There was a lot of goals in the second.
02:05What do you think changed out there on the pitch?
02:07I think away from home, it's always good to keep a clean sheet in the first half
02:12and get through it without conceding that we did that.
