Here, Will Jackson, Peter Smith and Sam Cook look back on Jez Litten's recent form for Hull KR and question whether he should be the man to start for England in the Ashes this autumn.
Transcript
00:00yeah you said John Cartwright picked out Jez Litton as the difference maker really and look we spoke
00:10about him last week but I mean he just simply has to be in that England squad now doesn't he
00:15he was superb again yeah I think it's hard it's really really hard to ignore him I know like
00:22Sean Wayne might have preferences and obviously you can look at someone like Brad O'Neill brings
00:27that like he's a lot more physical but I think Litton's kind of proven that he can do that
00:31Mickey McElroy was brought in at the start of the season to set the turn and obviously he's missed
00:35I'd say the vast majority of the year and Litton's not missed a beat in terms of that he still can
00:40bring that physicality I mean some of the shots that he was putting on yesterday as well like
00:44they were like were huge he's not just this I think the pundits analyzed afterwards the game he's not
00:50just the running nine anymore he can do a lot more he showed that he is still running nine when he
00:54scored the try and on numerous others I think his run was kind of pivotal in setting up the first
00:59try he kind of distracted four or five defenders and then obviously it goes wide to both but he
01:04does bring that physicality I don't know what more Sean Wayne can ask for especially when sort of the
01:10buzzword is consistency and I don't think there's been a more consistent nine in the competition this
01:15year yeah you look at his competition you've got I mean Darrell Clark's been fantastic I think for
01:20Saints but Brad O'Neill Walker at Warrington it's you'd say Jez Litton's on top of that list
01:26wouldn't you Pete yeah I'd say he's the form the form hooker I mean when it comes to doing the dream
01:36team which which we all we'll do at some stage fairly shortly he'll be in he'll be in mind but
01:42that doesn't mean he's necessarily going to get picked for England does it we'll have to wait and see
01:47boy I'd pick him here
01:49you
01:54you
