00:00Let's talk about these qualifiers because we have Venezuela, we have Colombia, and we have Bolivia fighting tooth and nail to qualify Chiba.
00:10What are your predictions?
00:11Paraguay finally coming back to a World Cup after, you know, South Africa 2010.
00:16I think they got it there in this World Cup.
00:18It's going to be amazing.
00:19I think it's exciting.
00:20I do want Colombia to advance on a Cumbia and el Mundial here in the United States and Mexico and Canada.
00:26Well, for that to happen, Venezuela needs to falter.
00:30Venezuela is a team that has been growing incredibly fast, and I really like their football.
00:35They have players like Sotelo that are really making a difference for the team.
00:39Nick, do you think that they will qualify for the World Cup?
00:44Yes, I do.
00:45You don't want to be like me in 2017 at that open bar at the wedding and underestimate the power of the vino tinto.
00:52Don't do it because it will get you in trouble.
00:54That being said, the fan base, they deserve it.
00:57This is a loyal fan base.
00:59They've been through a lot as a country.
01:01Of course, there's some political stuff on the side that could complicate fans attending matches here,
01:06but that's out of our control for now.
01:08We have to see what happens with that.
01:10But as a nation that rallies around this sport,
01:13because the other things they have to rally around are very divisive and problematic and troublesome for them,
01:18it matters a lot.
01:19And I want to see the vino tinto get through.
01:21I want to see them do well.
01:22And the reality is the most important game that they will be playing will happen against Colombia.
01:29The last match day of the Conmebol qualifiers pits Venezuela versus Colombia.
01:34What is going to be a decisive game for both to see if they qualify directly or they go to the play in Chiba.
01:40They play in that.
01:41It's a very, very unique type of game because they will be the seventh place of Conmebol versus the Ocean Pacific region.
01:49It's hard to tell at this point who will be, but it's an exciting game.
01:53One of the beautiful things that this extended format of the World Cup brings is the fact that there's so much more teams that are going to get to play this tournament.
02:01Now, that's why we're going to talk about the CONCACAF qualifiers, because they are in a very particularly unique situation.
02:10We have been talking about this before, but here we go again.
02:12Mexico, the United States and Canada are not participating.
02:16That's why we have countries like Suriname and Nicaragua that are fighting for a dream to qualify for the World Cup.
02:23So, Chiba, who are your Cinderella's for this qualifier?
02:28I mean, let's not forget about Guatemala.
02:29Guatemala has been suspended for many years.
02:32FIFA suspended them, and they haven't had a chance to be near a World Cup.
02:37I think this is the day for the Central American teams.
02:41Today, more than ever, they have a unique opportunity of qualifying to a World Cup.
02:44And I do see Guatemala with Tena, the Mexican coach, taking them to that promised land.
02:51It's going to be tough because they have to play El Salvador, Suriname, and Panamá.
02:55But I do see Guatemala as a dark horse making it to the World Cup.
02:58And for them, I mean, this is the closest that they're going to feel to having a home advantage in a World Cup if they do make it.
03:06A lot of Guatemalan fans obviously are going to make it to those matches in Mexico or here in the U.S.
03:11So, I mean, this is about as close as it's going to get for them in the near future, right, for having that home field in a World Cup.
03:18Some of the countries that will be fighting for the top spots in these qualifiers are the usual suspects.
03:23Chiba, talk to me about which are the teams that surprise you the most, that are the closest to giving the surprise that they really shouldn't be participating at all if they were a normal qualifier.
03:34I mean, Suriname, you know, they have amazing players that play for European teams.
03:39They're so underestimated that people are talking about El Salvador and Guatemala fighting for a second spot and putting Panama in the first place.
03:46But I think Suriname has a great team and a great coach.
03:48And they're going to be top contenders to advance directly to the World Cup.
03:53USA probably is going to hope anyone but Panama gets there.
03:57USA probably is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the other who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going to be the one who is going
