00:00In a small, quiet town in Virginia, the police are investigating a gruesome scene.
00:06Four people have been brutally murdered in a house.
00:09There are no signs of robbery or forced entry.
00:13Everything seems to indicate that the occupants were desperately trying to flee from something.
00:19And the most puzzling thing is in the basement.
00:22The intact, naked body of an unidentified young woman.
00:27The discovery baffles the officers.
00:30And the sheriff decides to move the body to the local morgue for an urgent evaluation.
00:36There, Tommy, an experienced forensic pathologist, works with his son Austin, who is still learning about the family business.
00:45The morgue and crematorium operate in the basement of their home, something they are already used to.
00:51While Austin plans to go out with his girlfriend Emma that night,
00:55the sheriff demands a cause of death that same night before the press begins to speculate.
01:01The young woman is provisionally named Jane Doe.
01:05She appears to be between 25 and 30 years old, but everything about her body is a mystery.
01:12There are no external signs of violence.
01:15Her skin is clean and free of bruises, but she has internal fractures in her wrists and ankles,
01:22as if she had been tied up or forcefully restrained.
01:26Her tongue has been mutilated.
01:28She is missing a molar.
01:30And inside her, there are traces of peat, a type of soil found only in northern regions of the country.
01:37Everything suggests that she may have been a victim of human trafficking or brutal torture,
01:43but that is only the beginning.
01:46As they proceed with the autopsy, strange things begin to happen.
01:51A radio turns on by itself.
01:54Static can be heard.
01:56And the family's cat is found injured inside a ventilation duct, forcing Tommy to put it down.
02:02The atmosphere begins to feel oppressive and heavy, and Austin becomes frightened.
02:08But Tommy insists on continuing because they must find answers.
02:13When they open the body, they find an even more bizarre scene.
02:19Her internal organs are severely damaged, as if she had been burned from the inside.
02:25Her lungs are completely blackened.
02:27Her heart shows surgical scars, and her abdominal cavity contains a cloth with strange symbols,
02:35and the missing molar is found there, wrapped as part of a ritual.
02:40Inside her, there are also traces of a poisonous plant called jimsonweed,
02:45associated with ancient rituals for its paralyzing effect.
02:50Then, a new theory arises.
02:52Jane Doe may have been the victim of an ancient sacrifice or occult ritual.
02:59Suddenly, paranormal phenomena begin to occur.
03:02Doors closing by themselves, lights bursting,
03:06bodies disappearing from their compartments,
03:09and even the appearance of the morgue corpse,
03:12to which they had tied a bell around the ankle.

03:28Let's continue.
03:29The sound of the bell announces her presence,
03:32moving through the hallways as if something had awakened her.
03:35When Tommy goes to the bathroom, the corpse knocks him down and leaves him injured.
03:39The morgue turns into a deadly trap,
03:42and both come to the conclusion that all this is caused by Jane Doe.
03:46Austin and Tommy try to escape,
03:48but the elevator doesn't work and the doors are sealed.
03:51The radio only emits static, and the phones stop working due to the storm.
03:57Emma returns to look for Austin, but is attacked.
04:01Tommy ends up mortally wounding her, mistaking her for an apparition.
04:05Desperate, Austin gets into the elevator with his injured father,
04:09but they discover that it has also stopped working.
04:11Despite the horror, they decide to return to complete the autopsy and understand what Jane really is.
04:19When they open her skull and examine the brain, they discover that her cells are alive.
04:24Jane Doe is not really dead, but in a suspended state, sustained by an unexplicable energy.
04:30They also find an inscription that says,
04:33Leviticus 2027,
04:35a Bible verse that condemns to death witches and those who summon spirits.
04:40Alongside this is the number 1693,
04:43suggesting a connection to the Salem executions.
04:46Tommy concludes that Jane was an innocent young woman,
04:49possibly accused of witchcraft unjustly in the 17th century.
04:53Her torturers tried to destroy her body,
04:56but the energy of the hatred and suffering she absorbed kept her alive,
05:00sealing her soul in a limbo.
05:02Now anyone who tries to desecrate her with an autopsy relives her pain.
05:07The fractures Tommy suffers correspond to Jane's,
05:10as if she were transferring them to him.
05:12To save his son, he begs Jane to forgive him,
05:15but his pleas have no effect, and his body begins to break.
05:19In a heartbreaking act, he asks Austin to kill him to end his suffering,
05:24and right after, he believes he has survived.
05:27But an illusion provoked by Jane deceives him,
05:30making him think he sees the sheriff coming to his rescue,
05:34when in reality, he is facing the reanimated corpse of his father,
05:38and from the shock, he dies falling down the stairs,
05:41victim of the entity's final mental trick.
05:44At dawn, the authorities find the scene completely destroyed,
05:48with corpses scattered, and no logical explanation.
05:52No one understands what happened,
05:54so the sheriff decides to send Jane Doe's body to another county.
05:58In the hearse, while the corpse remains apparently inert,
06:02the sound of the bell is heard again,
06:04announcing that Jane is still alive,
06:06and waiting for a new victim.
