00:00Meanwhile, House Speaker Martin Romualdez welcomed the call from business leaders and civil societies to stamp out corruption in government,
00:08vowing that the House of Representatives will never condone abuses in public service.
00:13According to Speaker Romualdez, their concern echoes the very principles of transparency, accountability, and integrity that the House of Representatives has committed to uphold.
00:23He reiterated the House of the People will never condone corruption, whether in public works, local governance, or any other area of government service.
00:32In addition, the House leader stated that allegations of wrongdoings must be investigated thoroughly and addressed decisively.
00:40As of now, the lower house is conducting its own inquiry on various corruption-related controversies in the country.
