00:29This week on TNA Explosion, Gia Miller goes around the ring with prime Cedric Alexander.
00:36The Don West, you've got to be kidding me, top five trending topics of the week, in case you missed it.
00:42And in our main event, Knockouts World Tag Team Champion M by Elegance goes one-on-one with Laying Lee.
00:49But first, it's From the Ball, presented by TNA Plus, right here on Explosion.
00:54Polk is picked!
01:02Well, here comes the Polk.
01:06The following contest is scheduled for one fall.
01:09And it is Zing, making his way to the ring, the Hulk D'Angelo De Niro!
01:20I guess there's always an upside when you're in the top ten rankings.
01:27Shows what you've accomplished here in TNA in terms of one-loss record.
01:32Your career one-loss record as well.
01:35Online voting, taking into account with Dixie Carter, Hulk Hogan, and Eric Bischoff.
01:39Put together those rankings.
01:40But when you're ranked number eight, like the Pope D'Angelo De Niro is, you've got a big target on your back.
01:49Because your opponent, Kurt Angle, has promised that on his way to the world title, he's going to take out everybody in that top ten.
01:55Well, Kurt Angle, 13th-time world champion, Olympic gold medalist.
01:59He's on the hunt.
02:00He's on the hunt.
02:02He went through ten-nine.
02:03Now, he has eight.
02:05See if he can get it done.
02:13And now, introducing, making his way to the ring from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
02:20weighing in at 234 pounds, professional wrestling's only Olympic gold medalist,
02:29The Olympic gold medalist is on a quest.
02:43He started last month, sacrifice, defeating number ten, Kazarian.
02:47Victim at the number nine spot was Desmond Wolfe on impact.
02:52And now, number eight, the Pope, D'Angelo De Niro.
02:56The next opponent for Kurt Angle, who has promised us that if he is not successful at any point
03:06in defeating every person listed in the top ten, starting at ten all the way down to number one,
03:12he's promised us that he will walk away from TNA.
03:16Which, that in itself is crazy to me.
03:17But, you know, that's Kurt.
03:18That's Kurt Angle putting pressure on himself.
03:21Like no one else can.
03:24And that's, I feel, why Kurt has been, why he is, an international, world-class superstar.
03:29I mean, that, that's basically it.
03:31The pressure the man puts on himself.
03:34Pope can go.
03:36Ain't no doubt about that.
03:37This is gonna be tough.
03:39This is gonna be tough for the Pope.
03:41We heard Angle say on Impact recently
03:44that that self-imposed pressure that he puts on himself,
03:50putting his career at stake,
03:51enables him to perform even better, Taz.
03:55That's what I'm saying.
03:56That's what Angle's all about.
03:58Ain't no doubt about Angle.
04:00I've had the opportunity in my career to compete against that man, Kurt Angle, several times,
04:04and it's not easy.
04:06I mean, you have to compete at a higher level when you wrestle Angle.
04:10You're in there with one of the best of all time.
04:12That is a future Hall of Famer you're looking at in that red, white, and blue.
04:19Angle back to the basics, immediately grounding and taking down the Pope.
04:24That front-tight face lock, and then all of a sudden,
04:26the quick reversal of that hammer lock by De Niro.
04:29Well, that's what Pope's about.
04:31Pope, Pope don't sweat nobody.
04:32He's got a lot of heart.
04:33He's got the congregation behind him.
04:35Not many guys that can turn that chin lock into a hammer lock
04:40and switch on Kurt Angle like Pope just did.
04:42And then the second switch almost equally as impressive off the quick snap there headlock
04:47by Angle where Pope was able to turn it around on into a hammer lock.
04:50Yeah, you see, I was going to say, as Kurt was in that hammer lock,
04:54he was posting with his hand on his head.
04:56Looks like he's just had his head down, but he doesn't.
04:58He's actually getting more leverage for himself.
05:00I saw a headlock takedown by Kurt Angle, a basic maneuver, but done very well.
05:06Got an arm trap, too.
05:07Notice how his arm's strapped in there?
05:08That's really the key, isn't it?
05:10Because now you've not only got the head, you can position that around,
05:13but you take away also the ability for Pope to fight back.
05:17You call it trapping a wing.
05:19You know, you're trapping a guy's wing, his arm, whatever you want to call it.
05:21And that's...
05:22Actually, Kurt could turn this into a submission here.
05:25How about the way that Angle has his weight position here, his legs...
05:30Well, all of his...
05:31It's just...
05:32It's done to perfection, isn't it?
05:33It's poultry right there.
05:34I mean, it's all of Kurt's body weight on the face and jaw and throat,
05:38when they were down, of the Pope.
05:41Imperative that the Pope got back up to his feet, which he does.
05:45But Angle able to drop him with the shoulder block and then quickly leaps over.
05:49Pope ready, takes him over to the high hip toss.
05:51And again, back to that hip toss, and now going to work on the arm,
05:55or nope, going to go for a hip toss again, but it was blocked.
05:58Series of standing switches here, ends with the Pope catching it with kicks.
06:02Well, I like what Pope did after those two hip tosses.
06:04Did something, how explosive was that, that many guys don't do.
06:07As he hip tosses the man and he goes down, he has a two-on-one,
06:11which means both hands, two hands on one wrist.
06:13And he controls the man's arm that way to apply another hip toss.
06:17You don't see many guys do that.
06:18A little thing right there that Pope did that helped him get the advantage on Angle.
06:23That's what we talked about earlier, and nobody picks up those nuances of the game
06:27like my broadcast partner, Taz.
06:28Well, thank you very much.
06:29What a show of respect here by the Pope.
06:33You don't see that much neither, huh?
06:36I like that.
06:37That's pretty cool.
06:38Gotta love the mutual respect between these two, especially competing at this level.
06:45I don't think Kurt's gonna go easy on you, you know?
06:48And look at that.
06:49After a show of respect, Kurt boots the man in the gun.
06:51I like that.
06:52And then power bombs him directly back of his head first into the corner.
06:56Thank you for the respect.
06:58That's what I'm saying.
06:59Pope is a giver.
07:01He gives in life.
07:02It's about the congregation.
07:03He's a man of the people.
07:04He's too nice.
07:07He just showed it.
07:11Angle stands directly over the Pope.
07:14Immediately picks him up right by the head.
07:16Wow.
07:16Nobody snaps him off like that.
07:18The quickness of that snap suplex leads to a cover in the lateral press.
07:22Well, I've explained it, you know, many times,
07:24and how Kurt is able to peel off those suplexes so impactfully.
07:28It's just his hips.
07:29It's all in the hips.
07:30The way you pop your hips into your opponent and back arch real quick.
07:34It's that motion.
07:35It's that quick movement that enables you to get that torque and power behind the move.
07:40Comes with years of training.
07:41You're getting your lower back strong and your glutes, your butt, whatever.
07:44Getting those muscles strong.
07:46It's not arm strength.
07:47It's all lower back strength and glute strength.
07:51Nobody knows that better than you, Taz.
07:53What are you trying to say?
07:54I got a big S.
07:56Oh!
07:56I'm going to put you over for your suplex ability,
07:59and you immediately take the low road.
08:01Angle quick cover.
08:02Look at this.
08:03I love it.
08:04I love it.
08:05Immediately right back to the pin.
08:06As quickly as the Pope can raise his arm and his shoulder,
08:10Angle slams it right back down to go for another pin attempt.
08:12Tenacity.
08:13And not just a pin attempt.
08:14Angle driving his forearm across the man's cheekbone.
08:17You know, again, little things.
08:19Oof!
08:20Backdrop suplex.
08:21Drops him directly down on his tailbone.
08:23Boy, the accumulation here of these suplex moves,
08:30and it's just going to wear down the Pope.
08:33Well, Pope's worn down now.
08:34Look how Kurt sits through that.
08:36Sits through that rear choke, a rear chin lock.
08:38See Kurt's legs, how they're flat on the mat,
08:41and he's got all his weight on the throat, neck,
08:44inside of the head of the Pope.
08:46That right there is the perfect way to apply
08:48that tight rear chin lock while the man's down.
08:52All of his weight.
08:53Kurt's weight on the head.
08:54You see how effective it is as the Pope at this point.
08:58He's looking for a way to escape.
08:59He's taking everything into consideration.
09:02Where does he go?
09:02Well, he's got to get back up to his feet, obviously.
09:05I think Pope wants to try and get this thing
09:06out of a wrestling match and get this thing into a fight.
09:09If I'm Pope, that's what I would try to do.
09:12Oh, look at that.
09:13Pope.
09:14He's got himself a little sleeper back there.
09:16Mike.
09:17Caught Angle coming off.
09:18The rope's locked him in the sleeper,
09:19but then you see the quick reversal by Kurt.
09:22Yeah, he's got that tough, tough clasp, his grip.
09:26That nice counter by the Pope.
09:28Give Kurt a little taste of his own medicine.
09:30Indeed.
09:32Might be the turning point in this match.
09:34Whoever gets to a vertical base first
09:36might get some advantage.
09:40Kurt has been bringing more of an offensive,
09:43has had more offense, I should say,
09:46than the Pope, I think, thus far in this match.
09:48No question.
09:49To this point in the matchup.
09:50Well, Kurt's got that sense of urgency.
09:53You know, he said it.
09:53You pointed it out.
09:54Sure.
09:54If I lose, I'm done.
09:56And he put that on himself.
09:57So, you know,
09:58you could potentially be looking at
10:00Kurt Angle's last match here.
10:04Exchange between the two.
10:06Pope gets the better of it.
10:08Dropping him.
10:08Clothesline back.
10:09Elbow.
10:10Off the atomic drop, inverted style,
10:15the series of elbows just repeatedly
10:16to the top of the head.
10:17Pope's bringing it right now.
10:19Bringing a lot of different maneuvers.
10:21Kurt realized it, slowed him down.
10:23Uh-oh.
10:25Oh, boy.
10:26Wow.
10:27Lock him up.
10:28Yep.
10:28Release him overhead.
10:29Off the belly to belly.
10:30Here's the cover.
10:31Here's one.
10:31Here's two.
10:33Yeah, once Kurt clasped his hands
10:35and you get caught in there,
10:36click, click, boom, you're gone.
10:37Good luck.
10:38Yep.
10:38You're headed over the top of Kurt Angle.
10:42And you don't have an option.
10:45Angle stalking the Pope.
10:47The European uppercut rocks him
10:49and sends him directly into the ropes.
10:54That time Angle.
10:55Oh, nice counter.
10:55Yeah, telegraphed the move.
10:57Let's see if the Pope can take advantage
10:58of that mistake that you don't see
11:00very often from Kurt.
11:01Look at that.
11:02Whoa.
11:02Nice.
11:03Into a German suplex.
11:04Still got the grip, Taz.
11:05Yeah.
11:06Pope, uh,
11:07hanging on to that grip.
11:10Trying to take a page
11:11out of Kurt Angle's book.
11:13Nice block.
11:14Oh!
11:15Back heel trip.
11:16Clothesline at the same time.
11:18Into a cradle.
11:19Cradle, cradle.
11:20That's not just a leg hook right there.
11:21No, he's cinched up, didn't he?
11:22That's a cradle.
11:24First, that outer leg sweep
11:25of the clothesline,
11:26which is called an Osoto Gowri.
11:28It's like a judo or a jiu-jitsu sweep.
11:31Into that tight cradle pin,
11:33Kurt able to kick out.
11:34Kurt's hurting.
11:34And Pope went for those double knees.
11:38Could have been that DDE
11:39that D'Angelo De Niro expressed,
11:42but Angle moves out of the way
11:44and catches him with one suplex,
11:46and now it's Kurt's time.
11:48Wow.
11:49Yeah, well, I got a funny feeling
11:50Kurt's got more than two
11:53German suplexes in mind.
11:55Yeah, we're at two and counting.
11:56Angle still maintaining that hold.
11:59Well, it's a hat trick.
12:00That's a hat trick.
12:01Trifecta cover, leg hook, far side.
12:04Nope, just two.
12:07Both men battling.
12:09You can see the fatigue in both athletes.
12:13And Angle not only performs better,
12:16in my opinion, when he's under pressure,
12:18but also when he's fatigued.
12:20Yes.
12:20Because that's when Kurt Angle really shines.
12:23I could not agree with that statement anymore.
12:26That is so true.
12:27Proved it at the Olympics in 96,
12:29winning the gold medal with a broken neck.
12:31And there you see,
12:32speaking of neck,
12:33the target of the Pope
12:36is the neck of Kurt Angle.
12:38That's a good game plan by the Pope.
12:40Pope's got to try and get on a hop here
12:41and get moving
12:42and hit whatever he's going to hit.
12:44Uh-oh.
12:44See, that's what I'm saying.
12:45Talk about how quick he can react
12:46despite the fatigue.
12:47That's Kurt Angle.
12:48Belly-to-belly from the corner.
12:52Here's the follow-up cover.
12:53Here's two.
12:55See how Kurt, again, another little thing,
12:58how he hooks the arm
12:59almost like an overhook
13:00to get him in on his back quicker
13:02instead of just, you know,
13:03throwing him over.
13:05Little things.
13:06Little things are important.
13:07Try to go for that ankle lock, Kurt is.
13:09free leg
13:11of the Pope
13:13is used to kick Angle away
13:15from his famous submission move.
13:21Well, bad intentions on the mind of Kurt Angle.
13:23Here he comes!
13:25Shoulder first,
13:26right into the steel.
13:27Post goes Angle.
13:29Well, Pope had that.
13:30This could be the DDE
13:32as the knee pads come down.
13:34Kurt's in position to receive it.
13:37No, drives both knees
13:38into the chest.
13:40Got the leg hook.
13:41This could be it.
13:42Oh, God.
13:44Could have been it for sure for Kurt.
13:47Could have been done.
13:53Now, all of a sudden,
13:54you sense that
13:54when it comes to confidence,
13:57it's on the side of the Pope.
14:00I would definitely...
14:02Did you see the body language of De Niro?
14:03I totally agree.
14:04He's starting to get that swagger back.
14:05He is.
14:06He almost had Kurt beat there.
14:09Float over by Angle.
14:11Angle slam!
14:11There it is.
14:13Drilled him.
14:13Here we go.
14:14Here's two.
14:16Whoa!
14:16Oh, man.
14:19You see a little bit of a...
14:21a little frustration by Kurt Angle there.
14:25Thought he had the duke right there.
14:27Thought he had the win.
14:28Here we go.
14:30Straps come down.
14:31Oh, nothing fancy about that.
14:34Just locked on that ankle lock.
14:41Patented.
14:41Submission hold applied.
14:43If Kurt can get the...
14:44If he drops down and gets the legs
14:45and grapevines around that leg
14:47and octopus is that leg.
14:50Look at the heart right here.
14:51The intestinal fortitude of the Pope
14:52trying to get to that bottom rope.
14:54He's got to grab it.
14:55And Kurt almost to the point
14:59of toying with him there
15:00because just when it looked like
15:02the Pope was going to get the ropes
15:03for the break,
15:05Angle drags him back out.
15:06That shows the control that Kurt has
15:08of the entire body
15:09with just the Angle.
15:10Oh, just out of nowhere.
15:10Got him!
15:11Got him!
15:11Here we go.
15:12Woo!
15:14How the hell did Kurt kick out of that?
15:17Sunset flip.
15:19Nobody there.
15:20Nice block.
15:20He's blocked it.
15:21Dropped down.
15:22That's the move.
15:23One, two...
15:23Wow.
15:26Ankle, ankle, ankle!
15:28What a reversal.
15:29Got quickies on the match.
15:30Sensational.
15:31Sensational reversal.
15:33He's got that thing hooked up.
15:36That might be all over, man.
15:37Pope's in deep, deep grave danger.
15:40There it is.
15:44Ladies and gentlemen,
15:45the winner of the match,
15:47Kurt Angle!
15:51Awesome job by both men.
15:53Great match right there.
15:55Very, very physical.
15:57Congrats to Kurt Angle.
15:59He did it again, Tess.
16:00One more notch up there, buddy.
16:02One more notch is exactly right.
16:04There it is.
16:04Seven.
16:05Yep.
16:05Started with ten, Kazarian.

18:54in Knockouts action.
18:55But coming up next,
18:56it's Around the Ring
18:57with Chia Miller
18:58starring Cedric Alexander.
19:00That's next on Explosion.
19:05Welcome back to TNA Explosion.
19:09And now it's time
19:10for Around the Ring
19:11with Chia Miller.
19:17What's up, everybody?
19:19Welcome to Around the Ring.
19:21As always,
19:21I'm your host, Chia Miller.
19:23And today,
19:24we are sitting down
19:25with my friend,
19:27Cedric Alexander.
19:28Cedric,
19:29thank you so much
19:29for joining me today.
19:30Thank you for having me.
19:31I'm really,
19:32really excited
19:33to talk to you
19:34because we were about
19:35to have a 10-minute long
19:37Around the Ring
19:37before the cameras
19:39even started rolling
19:40because we were talking
19:41about, you know,
19:42just a little bit
19:42about things
19:43that you're interested in
19:44and we found
19:44some common ground
19:45and you guys know
19:46exactly where I'm headed
19:47because we've talked
19:48about it a lot
19:49on this show.
19:49A lot.
19:50And it's cartoons.
19:52Yes.
19:52You are a cartoon buff.
19:53I am a cartoony.
19:54I am also a cartoon buff.
19:56Tell me,
19:56what are some of your
19:58top ones?
19:59What comes to mind?
20:00Your Mount Rushmore.
20:01Man,
20:01oh,
20:02my Mount Rushmore.
20:03Okay,
20:03I'm a real big fan
20:05of like the old school
20:06Looney Tunes.
20:07Okay,
20:07awesome.
20:08Bugs,
20:09Daffy.
20:10Classics.
20:11The classics,
20:11you know what I'm saying?
20:12So Bugs,
20:13Daffy,
20:13Daffy up there.
20:13Of course.
20:14You know,
20:14Tom and Jerry right behind me.
20:15Oh,
20:16great choice.
20:17That's it.
20:17Absolutely timeless.
20:18You want slapstick comedy?
20:20The way cartoons
20:21are supposed to be made?
20:22Yeah.
20:22I mean,
20:23it set the formula.
20:26Yes.
20:26The formula in place
20:27and cartoons have just
20:28followed it ever since.
20:29100%.
20:30But it's hard to follow
20:31Tom and Jerry.
20:32Hands down.
20:33One of the greatest.
20:34Favorite cartoon characters.
20:35One of the greatest.
20:36So,
20:37one of my favorites
20:37that we can relate to,
20:40we can relate on,
20:41is of course
20:42SpongeBob SquarePants.
20:42SpongeBob SquarePants.
20:43It is a guilty pleasure
20:45in a lot of ways,
20:46but not really
20:47because I love SpongeBob.
20:47You should feel no guilt
20:49for it.
20:49No guilt.
20:50At all.
20:50So we have,
20:51we are forming
20:51a little bit of a club.
20:52Yes.
20:53So I'm kind of putting you
20:54on the spot here.
20:54Okay.
20:55This is going to be
20:55a little bit of an evaluation
20:57to see.
20:58Oh,
20:58are we checking
20:59my SpongeBob card right now?
21:00Just to see
21:01if you would be
21:02a good fit
21:03in the club.
21:04All right.
21:04Just to see.
21:05I'm ready for the interview.
21:05I want to start with
21:07who is your favorite character?
21:10Patrick Stark.
21:11Patrick.
21:11Okay.
21:12And why?
21:13Because he's a genius.
21:13I don't care what anyone says.
21:15Patrick's a genius.
21:15Fair enough.
21:16He's just not connected
21:17all the time.
21:18Not all the time,
21:19but he is a driving motivator
21:20for that show.
21:21He really is.
21:21I think he is.
21:22Hey,
21:22and he's a good friend.
21:23He's a good friend to Sponge.
21:24He's always there.
21:25He's always.
21:26But not always
21:27the way you need him.
21:27Yeah.
21:28Not always there.
21:29Lights are on.
21:30Nobody's home sometimes.
21:32Most times.
21:32Most times.
21:33Most times.
21:33But that's why we love him.
21:35Harley Hudson's was Plankton.
21:38Okay.
21:38Plankton's a good choice.
21:39Plankton's a good choice.
21:40Yep.
21:40I'm not mad at Plankton's.
21:41Mine is actually Squidward.
21:43And people might want
21:44to fight me on that,
21:45but I think he'd.
21:46Your personality
21:47and Squidward's don't match.
21:48That's why it's
21:49a little jarring, maybe.
21:50People would think
21:50I would say Sandy
21:51because I sound like Sandy.
21:52It's the accent.
21:53Come on.
21:53It's the accent.
21:54It's the accent.
21:55But I love Squidward
21:56because I think
21:57there's a lot
21:57of layers to him.
21:58I do think he actually
21:59really cares
22:00and loves SpongeBob.
22:01He cares about SpongeBob a lot
22:02because when he does
22:04go too far with Sponge,
22:05he realizes it.
22:06He realizes it.
22:07I'm sorry, SpongeBob.
22:08The Christmas episode
22:09where he went so far
22:10to make sure that Sponge
22:11had a perfect Christmas
22:13and he dressed up
22:14as Santa Claus.
22:15Yeah.
22:15It just.
22:15Okay.
22:16I love stuff like that.
22:17Okay.
22:18Next question.
22:19This is a hard hitter.
22:20Okay.
22:21What is your favorite
22:22SpongeBob quote?
22:26Okay.
22:26You can have honorable
22:28mentions as well
22:29if you have multiple.
22:32My honorable mention
22:33is a recurring one
22:35that they always do.
22:36When someone gets hurt,
22:37it's that one guy
22:38who goes,
22:38oh, my leg!
22:41I love that.
22:43So good.
22:43So good.
22:44Now, my number one,
22:45best quote of all time.
22:47Also, everyone knows this.
22:49What is it?
22:50The, uh,
22:51what was this episode?
22:53The comedy episode
22:54where, uh,
22:56Squidward's trying to get noticed
22:57when he can't
22:58and then he's mopping up
23:00and then Squidward,
23:01what is it?
23:02What's the saying?
23:04Squidward's trying to do something
23:05and he's, like,
23:06not working.
23:07Then SpongeBob comes out.
23:07Dudes is ten times better.
23:08Squidward comes back out again.
23:10And then someone in the back goes,
23:11oh, brother!
23:12This guy stinks!
23:14Yes!
23:16Cedric, you're in.
23:17You're in.
23:17You're in.
23:18You're in.
23:18It's official.
23:19It's official.
23:20You were officially part
23:21of the SpongeBob Club.
23:23I say that
23:24almost every day of my life.
23:26Me and my wife,
23:26all the time.
23:27Almost every day.
23:28And it's so good
23:29for so many situations.
23:30Yes.
23:31It's great.
23:32It's just anything.
23:32Oh, brother!
23:34Oh, my gosh.
23:37Every time my dog
23:38jumps on me,
23:39I go,
23:40oh, brother!
23:41Get off me!
23:42And it's a good one
23:44to, like,
23:45find other SpongeBob people
23:46around.
23:47Because, like,
23:47they hear it
23:48and they go,
23:49this guy stinks!
23:50Yes!
23:51It's like a
23:52call and response.
23:53Yeah, what's that
23:54commercial
23:56that always does it?
23:58Mmm, Robin.
23:59Oh, oh, oh!
24:00Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:00The red Robin.
24:02Yum!
24:03That's it.
24:03There we go.
24:04We got there.
24:05We got there.
24:05We got there.
24:06Oh, my gosh.
24:07The meetings,
24:07you know what?
24:08We need to have
24:08a round table discussion
24:09one of these days.
24:10We're gonna get everybody
24:11from the SpongeBob Club.
24:12So, so far,
24:13it's KC,
24:15me,
24:16you,
24:17Harley Hudson,
24:18Myla Grace,
24:20Leon.
24:21We have a couple more
24:22that are...
24:23That's a solid circle
24:24right there.
24:24That's a solid circle.
24:24That's solid right there.
24:25Solid circle.
24:26There are a couple more
24:27that we're educating
24:29so far.
24:30Joe Hendry just watched
24:31his very first episode
24:32of SpongeBob recently.
24:33We're gonna get him
24:34deeper in there.
24:34We're gonna get him
24:36in there
24:36and maybe
24:37we'll have
24:38an evaluation
24:39and see if he's ready.
24:40See if he's ready
24:41to be in the club.
24:42Test his SpongeBob Club.
24:43Yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:44He's working on it.
24:45He's working on it.
24:45But we'll see
24:46how far he gets.
24:47But you, however,
24:48you are officially in
24:49and I expected
24:51nothing less.
24:53You know,
24:53when we were a girl dad,
24:54you know,
24:54cartoons are second nature.
24:55You got it.
24:57And you have that
24:58girl dad energy
24:58and it's the best energy
25:00in the entire world.
25:01Cedric,
25:02thank you so much
25:03for sitting down with me.
25:03This has been
25:04an absolute pleasure.
25:05Thank you.
25:05We will have to have you
25:06on again to talk about
25:07some Ren and Stimpy.
25:09Oh my God.
25:10I have so many memories
25:11of Ren and Stimpy
25:12that we can go on
25:12for another 20 minutes
25:13about this.
25:13We could.
25:14We could.
25:14We really could.
25:15But I'll get in trouble
25:16if I go over four minutes.
25:17Okay, all right.
25:17Sorry, guys.
25:17We got to stick to my time.
25:18So, Cedric,
25:20thank you so much.
25:20Thank you for having me.
25:21Guys, this has been
25:22Around the Ring.
25:25Up next,
25:26did you miss anything
25:27from Impact?
25:28No problem,
25:28we'll get you all caught up.
25:30It's In Case You Missed It
25:31next on Explosion.
25:36Welcome back
25:37to TNA Explosion.
25:38And now it's time
25:39for In Case You Missed It.
25:41Low dropkick there.
25:47Now Slater trying
25:48to corral Jeff Hardy.
25:49Good job by Slater
25:50staying on it there.
25:54And then,
25:54look at the potential
25:55here in this team.
25:57Mid-air crossover.
25:59Cover and a kick out.
26:00Look, at the end of the day,
26:01I do think that people
26:02like Leon Slater
26:03and Cedric Alexander
26:04have a lot more in common
26:05than they have different.
26:06Similar goals,
26:08similar styles
26:08in pro wrestling.
26:10Absolutely.
26:18Jeff Hardy back
26:19up to his feet.
26:20Matt and Jeff
26:21have been through
26:22the wars
26:22for decades.
26:24That's why they're
26:25ready to write
26:26one last chapter
26:27with Team 3D
26:29compound for glory.
26:30Ooh!
26:34All right,
26:34now they're going up
26:35against two of the best
26:36and brightest
26:36professional wrestling
26:38has to offer.
26:39No doubt about it.
26:40and Bryan Cedric
26:42Alexander
26:42writing a new chapter
26:44for himself here
26:45in TNA Wrestling.
26:46Dropkick right to the neck.
26:48Here's the cover
26:48and a kick out.
26:51Alexander,
26:52a former tag team champion,
26:54former Cruiserweight champion
26:55in WWE,
26:56once upon a time.
26:58Now Leon Slater,
26:59the reigning X Division
27:00champion into the fray.
27:01and you can see a little bit
27:03more aggression,
27:04but you can even see Slater
27:05almost apologize
27:06to Matt Hardy there.
27:08He's holding himself
27:09back a little bit,
27:10even if he doesn't want
27:11to admit it.
27:11I can see it in a little bit
27:13in his body language.
27:14You can see it on his face.
27:15He needs to shake that
27:16as much as he can.
27:17Slater wants to compete,
27:18but I don't think he wants
27:19to hurt the Hardys.
27:20Nobody wants to hurt anybody,
27:22but this is what you gotta do.
27:25Oh, and we are back here
27:27on TNA Impact.
27:28This is our main event,
27:29a non-title matchup
27:31as the TNA World Tag Team
27:32champions, the Hardys,
27:34are facing the reigning
27:35X Division champion,
27:37Leon Slater
27:37and Cedric Alexander
27:39in the wake of emergence.
27:41Oh, down goes Slater.
27:44Now there's an opening
27:45for Jeff Hardy.
27:48The Hardys have mentored
27:49Leon Slater.
27:52All four of these men
27:53wanted this matchup
27:55and what an encounter
27:56it's been so far.
27:57Matt Hardy to meet
27:58Cedric Alexander.
28:01Now just pummeling Alexander
28:03with these forearms.
28:06We know what's ahead
28:08for the Hardys.
28:09The path to bow for glory.
28:11It leads them directly
28:12to one last match
28:15with Team 3D.
28:17Wait, what?
28:17Oh, wait a minute.
28:18Slater trying to protect
28:20Alexander and Matt Hardy
28:22said you can get
28:23these hands too.
28:25At least Matt Hardy
28:26is abiding by what
28:27I've been saying
28:27this whole match.
28:28It's just about the match.
28:30It's not about your friendship,
28:31about your mentorship
28:32and what have you.
28:33Boom!
28:34Side effect!
28:36The Hardys have been
28:38through every possible scenario.
28:41They're compartmentalizing
28:43to what makes them
28:44great champions, legends,
28:46icons of this industry.
28:49Off the elbow drop
28:50isn't enough.
28:51Alexander kicks it too.
28:55Resilience of Cedric Alexander
28:57coming into play,
28:58but the Hardys are just
28:59starting to turn up.
29:01and the Hardys
29:02and the Hardys
29:05and the Hardys
29:06calling for it.
29:07Trying to delete
29:08Cedric Alexander.
29:09What a twist of fate.
29:10Oh, and a dragon screw.
29:12Nasty one.
29:13Ooh!
29:14Remember earlier on
29:15in the matchup,
29:16hold on, here's the cover.
29:17Alexander taunting Jeff
29:19a little bit, but...
29:20Matt Hardy,
29:21earlier in the match,
29:22to your point,
29:22came off the top rope there.
29:25Favoring his knee.
29:26Cedric Alexander wisely
29:27going after that.
29:29Ooh, wait!
29:29Ooh!
29:30And Slater was going up top
29:32trying to get ready
29:33to deliver offense.
29:35Man, Hardy felt it coming.
29:36You said Rick Alexander
29:38is a weapon.
29:39Again, very, very,
29:41very smart from the Hardys.
29:42What makes them champions?
29:44Let's go for the twist of fate.
29:45Ooh!
29:45Into the plot twist!
29:48Beautifully done!
29:49Splash by Jeff.
29:51Tuxy on the cover!
29:53Oh, there's Leon Slater
29:54to break it up!
29:55Great wherewithal
29:56from Slater on that one.
29:58Great timing.
29:58Oh, kick right
30:00to the back of the neck.
30:02Snack, snack, snack, snack, snack.
30:04Now Slater
30:05trying to get Cedric Alexander
30:06in position for a tag.
30:08Smart tag team wrestling.
30:09Absolutely.
30:10Drag your
30:11partner over to your corner.
30:14Get in.
30:14This is great work so far
30:16from Alexander and Slater.
30:18You can feel Slater
30:19putting the emotions
30:20to the side,
30:21focusing on the task at hand.
30:23Very good.
30:23This is what he needs to do.
30:25Could it be time
30:26for the Swantime 450
30:28on Jeff Hardy of all people?
30:30Going for it.
30:33Jeff Hardy rolled out of the way.
30:34Matter of the way for the twist of fate.
30:37No!
30:37Countered!
30:38Into the twist.
30:39Looking for twist of Slate.
30:40Not to be.
30:41Maybe the plot twist.
30:42Wait a minute!
30:43What a twist of Slate!
30:44What a counter!
30:45Slater!
30:46No one's countered the plot twist.
30:48Slater had the answer.
30:50Leg Larian!
30:52Well, after everything he's been through
30:54with the Hardys,
30:54it makes sense.
30:56But my God!
30:56I didn't realize it would come off like this.
31:00Slater and Alexander might pull this thing off.
31:03A tag made by Alexander.
31:07Slater, looking to hit.
31:10What needs to be hit here?
31:14Jeff Hardy's down.
31:16Went to the Swantime 450, nobody home.
31:20Good moving, good timing by Jeff Hardy there.
31:24Slater sent to the outside by Matt Hardy.
31:27Remember, Alexander had tagged himself in before Slater's attempt.
31:31And Slater just went flying.
31:33There's a flat liner.
31:34Maybe they take it down.
31:36Cover, cover, and a kick out by Jeff.
31:40Matt Hardy again showing Leon Slater.
31:43What this is all about.
31:44Hardy, Hardy, Hardy, Hardy, Hardy, Hardy, Hardy, Hardy, Hardy, Hardy, Hardy.
31:52What a matchup in our main event.
31:54Now Alexander, think about a lumbar check to end this thing.
31:58Hardy saw it coming though.
32:00Wait, there's a tag, tag lead from Matt Hardy.
32:02Matt Hardy's legal, Cedric Alexander is legal.
32:06Look out, twist of fate.
32:11And now, Jeff Hardy going up top.
32:15Alexander's down, Slater's been taken out on the outside.
32:23Matt Hardy's legal, off the Swamp Time Bomb.
32:26The Hardys win.
32:27Here are your winners, the TNA World Tag Team Champions.
32:38Matt, Jeff, The Hardys.
32:43A hell of an effort from Slater and Alexander.
32:48But what a lesson taught by the GOATs, the Legends, the TNA World Tag Team Champions, The Hardys.
32:57The intelligence of The Hardys shined in this matchup.
33:09But you saw the depth of the connection between The Hardys and Leon Slater.
33:13The mutual respect is evident.
33:15A valuable lesson learned for Cedric Alexander and the reigning X Division Champion Leon Slater.
33:22Some of the best of two different generations here.
33:27Plying their craft at the highest level.
33:29You'll love to see it.
33:31The path to bound for glory continues.
33:35And if this is how it's begun, I can't wait to see how it ends at BFG.
33:42Up next, it's our main event.
33:43As one of the Knockouts World Tag Team Champions,
33:46M by Elegance faces layingly in singles action.
33:51Don't go anywhere.
33:52This match is next on Explosion.
33:57Welcome back to TNA Explosion.
34:00And now it's time for our main event.
34:04Ladies and gentlemen, I am the personal concierge.
34:12You know, since I got to this friggin' town, I've realized Baltimore is riddled with criminals.
34:19And they look like each and every single one of you.
34:25You shut your dirty, filthy pig mouths.
34:29I have something important to say.
34:31Because I'm about to introduce to you one of the most beautiful women in the entire world.
34:37Stand up and show some respect.
34:39And please welcome M by Elegance.
34:43We're set for our main event here on TNA Explosion on the campus of UMBC in Baltimore, Maryland.
34:56The site of Emergence 2025, which you can watch back anytime on demand on TNA Plus that night.
35:02At Emergence, Gio, we saw the Elegance brand retain the Knockouts World Tag Team titles.
35:08It's a four-way tag team match that was pure chaos.
35:14It was quite the matchup.
35:16A lot of moving parts in that one, but the Elegance brand walked away victorious.
35:22We'll see if M can pick up a victory here tonight on Explosion.
35:26A lot of moving parts is an understatement.
35:28I think there were about 45 people in the impact zone.
35:31And all the players involved in the Knockouts World Championship match at WWE Heat Wave at ringside.
35:38It was madness.
35:39Absolute madness.
35:44And M by Elegance ready for action tonight.
36:01And her opponent, accompanied to the ring by Zaya Brookside, Layin Lee!
36:12It was a lot for Layin Lee and Zaya Brookside to celebrate as of late.
36:16It was announced live on TNA Plus at Emergence that Layin Lee has re-signed with TNA Wrestling.
36:23And on top of that, there's a huge opportunity ahead for her tag team partner, Zaya Brookside.
36:29On NXT, there is a tournament being held to determine the number one contender to the
36:36WWE Speed Women's Championship.
36:39Stars from WWE, NXT, AAA Lucha Libre, and TNA will compete, including our own Zaya Brookside,
36:47who will be in action this Tuesday on NXT.
36:50Layin Lee and Zaya Brookside are undefeated in standard two-on-two tag team matches.
36:57Do you think it's only a matter of time that they win that the knockouts will tag team time?
37:02Absolutely, but we have to factor in all of the factors of the Elegance brand.
37:08There are a lot of factors.
37:09A lot of factors, though.
37:11One of the most annoying being the personal concierge.
37:14And they do always seem to have the numbers on their side.
37:18The Elegance brand just continues to grow.
37:20That's a lot of factors. The personal concierge's vest is bursting at the buttons.
37:27He's wearing way too much cologne.
37:29Yeah, he does that a lot to mask the BO.
37:31So this is M to back up Layin Lee into the corner.
37:35The Elegance brand.
37:37Plenty of representation.
37:39They rebranded the Freebird rule.
37:41They called it the Elegance rule, meaning that technically Ash, Heather, and M are
37:47the most representative of the Knockout School Tag Team Championship.
37:52M was trying to show off a little bit of martial arts action.
37:55Terrible idea.
37:56I think she is getting taught a lesson or about to by Layin Lee.
38:02Layin Lee could have taken M's head clean off her shoulders.
38:06Yeah, that would have been interesting.
38:08M trying to pick up the pace here against Layin Lee.
38:12Feinstein would have had his work cut out for him.
38:13Finklestein.
38:14Finklestein.
38:15Finklestein, yes.
38:16I really don't care what the name is, to be honest.
38:18Oh!
38:24Jackknife cover here by Lee.
38:26Kick out by M.
38:28Single leg drop kick sending M into the corner.
38:31Lee's giving up some height and some range, but she's doing very well right now.
38:36What she lacks in size, she makes up for in absolute power.
38:41Six, seven, eight, five, four.
38:47Wait a minute, there's the personal concierge up on the apron distracting the referee.
38:54Ziya Brookside was also trying to get the referee's attention, but M took control against Lee.
39:00Man, I can't tell you how happy I'd be if I saw Ziya Brookside take out the personal concierge.
39:06Oh, you and me both.
39:08Here's the cover by M.
39:10Hook to the leg, kick out by Layin Lee.
39:15Ziya Brookside and Layin Lee have become fast friends here in 2025 in TNA Wrestling,
39:21teaming together, teaming with Masha Slamovich as well.
39:24Oh, chop right to the chest.
39:29You all M by Elegance has undergone a complete transformation within the Elegance brand.
39:35Yes, and she's clearly adopted that attitude.
39:38Pressing the shoulders down off the double stop.
39:41Oh, and Lee able to power out.
39:43That the Elegance brand is well known for at this point.
39:46Well, you and I remember Maggie Lee.
39:49What a competitor Maggie Lee was.
39:51What a person Maggie Lee was.
39:53I don't even recognize this M by Elegance.
39:56Uh, you know what?
39:57Let's cut ourselves a couple of seconds off and just...
40:00Oh, wait a minute.
40:01Wait a minute.
40:01There's Heather going after Lee.
40:04The referee distracted by M.
40:08Oh!
40:09And a drive by kick there by Heather.
40:11The referee didn't see it.
40:13See, this is exactly what I'm talking about.
40:15Cover.
40:16Shoulders down.
40:17Kick out by Lee.
40:18The numbers game.
40:19The dirty tactics.
40:20It's all that the Elegance brand is really all about.
40:25But that's why they've got the gold, unfortunately.
40:29That's how they continue to retain the gold.
40:32Captured the titles back at Sacrifice in El Paso, Texas in March.
40:36And remember, that was a three-on-two tag team match, Gia.
40:39It was the Elegance brand up against Spitfire.
40:42That third member of the Elegance brand was the personal concierge.
40:46Oh, I remember it all too well.
40:47My therapist has heard a lot about me.
40:49Yeah, there was a lot of jiggling involved with the personal concierge.
40:56We're running!
40:56Oh, now M continuing to mock Lee while he is down.
41:01Oh, but she paid for it.
41:05Uh-oh.
41:06Oh!
41:07Missing again.
41:08Elegance with Elegance.
41:10Laying Lee's digging deep right now.
41:19Oh, now Laying Lee, who might be the most gifted striker in TNA Wrestling today,
41:23is lighting up M by Elegance.
41:26Here comes Lee.
41:27She wants a lesson in martial art.
41:34She's getting one up close and personal.
41:37M was able to dunk there for just a moment, but could not avoid that drop kick.
41:43Tucks the arm, hooks the leg, kick out by M.
41:46So, so close.
41:48Very competitive match here tonight on Explosion.
41:51Oof.
41:55Bring it out, let's go.
41:56Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
41:58M able to stall laying Lee in the corner for just a moment.
42:03Now Lee, hold on a second, using the ropes all the way up top.
42:06Take it down, let's go.
42:08One, two, three.
42:09Shots right to the crown of the Skull once again here by Laying Lee.
42:13Three, two, three.
42:13Two, three, eight, five.
42:15One, two, six.
42:22Oh and down goes him!
42:23Holy cow and he can't.
42:27Thunderstruck.
42:28And Lee's not done.
42:33Let's go for that Spinning Face Buster.
42:37There's Heather on the elegance plan.
42:40Zaya Brookside took out Heather.
42:42Here we go.
42:44And now Lee, going for one more time, time to go for a ride.
42:49Hold on tight girl, you're not gonna hang out for eight seconds.
42:54The Spinning Face Buster.
42:57Laying Lee has pinned one of the Knockouts World Tag Team Champions.
43:02Here is your winner, Laying Lee.
43:09Tom, I think you said it best.
43:11With momentum on their side, it's only a matter of time
43:15before these two have gotten Knockouts Tag Team title gold.
43:19Been a busy time as it went for the elegance brand, but this is a critical loss.
43:26Could Zaya Brookside and Laying Lee find themselves in contention
43:31for the Knockouts World Tag Team titles on the path to bow for glory?
43:36For glory.
43:38.
43:43.
43:45.
43:46.
43:47.
43:49.
43:51.
43:53.
43:56.
