00:31:36He is at 216 days, currently the third longest reigning X Division champion ever.
00:31:43And the days keep creeping on, and the title stays around the waist of Moose.
00:31:48Look, Leon Slater got that pinfall victory in the tag match at Against All Odds.
00:31:53That's what set up Slammiversary, but it's a whole different story when you go one-on-one with someone like Moose.
00:31:59Now, Slater and Hotch, two of the brightest young stars in all of professional wrestling, and we here at TNA think the world of what these two can be.
00:32:10This is a glimpse into the future.
00:32:12I mean, no doubt about it.
00:32:13You saw it.
00:32:14Like I said, what Hotch was able to do, bringing it to one of the greatest X Division champions of all time, in my opinion, Mustafa Ali.

00:32:22They really went toe-to-toe, despite all the emotional baggage that that came with.
00:32:28And of course, Leon Slater's moments that he makes speak for themselves.

00:34:02But if you beat the Hardys, truly one of the greatest of all time in terms of tag teams, undeniably, how does that not put you at the top of everybody's list?

00:34:15Chance for Leon Slater, trying to get back into this fight here against Jason Hotch, who has acquitted himself well between against All Odds and tonight.

00:34:28And I said before, you know, this is a glimpse into the future.
00:34:31I'm having flashbacks to 2003, a match that was billed as the Battle of the Futures.
00:34:38Chris Saban versus Frankie Kazarian, one of the early NWA TNA pay-per-views.
00:34:44It was very much the beginning of what those two could be, two TNA originals blossoming into spectacular careers.
00:34:53Feels like Hotch and Slater are in similar positions in their time right now in TNA.
00:34:58And it's sequences like that, that give you that feeling, that give you that aura, if you will.
00:35:08It's what these guys got, what they bring to the table, the unlimited potential.
00:35:13And Leon Slater, no doubt about it, wants to live up to all of that at Slammiversary with his biggest opportunity to date.
00:35:21And speaking of paying homage to the past, next week is the 23rd anniversary of the first TNA wrestling event to the day back June 19, 2002.
