00:00A whole new army of iPhone 17s is going to be coming out very soon.

00:04And if you're thinking of getting an iPhone for yourself or for someone else, you might

00:08want to watch this video.

00:09So this time, there's going to be no iPhone 17 Plus.

00:12Not that anyone's going to be missing it.

00:14But instead, there's going to be iPhone 17, the 17 Pro, Pro Max and the iPhone 17 Air.

00:20Let me give you a very quick overview if you're short on time.

00:23The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are going to have the most significant changes compared

00:27to last year, or to the last 4, 5 or 6 years.

00:30The iPhone 17 Air is a new entrant, which is to compete with something like the Galaxy

00:34S25 Edge, but I do have a lot of thoughts about that.

00:39Not good thoughts.

00:40The iPhone 17 base is the one with nearly no major changes except one.

00:45One change that I think it took Apple half a decade to implement.

00:50And needless to say, they're all going to ship with the latest iOS 26 with the infamous

00:54kind of controversial liquid glass interface and Apple intelligence.

00:58No wait, just iOS 26, we're still waiting on the intelligence.

01:02Anyway, if you're not short on time, let's pick each one and attack.

01:06Let's start with the one that I think is going to beat the iPhone 16E as the dumbest iPhone

01:10of 2025, the iPhone 17 Air.

01:13So it's just going to be 5.5mm thick, it's going to have a 6.6-inch display, and it's going

01:18to feel really different and slim in the hand.

01:22But it's not dumb because it's going to be ultra-slim or lightweight.

01:24No, it's because intelligence has reported that it is so slim that it might have a battery

01:29that won't even sustain a day.

01:31In fact, Apple is so confident that the battery performance is going to be so poor, they've

01:36already put their greed to work on a special battery case that they're going to sell

01:40with the iPhone 17 Air so that it can last the whole day.

01:44Hold the phone.

01:45So you're telling me they're going to make a really thin iPhone, make you buy a case, put

01:49it on it, and that will make it thicker than the regular iPhone 17.

01:53And people would buy that.

01:54Yeah, sounds about right.

01:56But you know, I don't think it stops there.

01:58The iPhone 17 Air is going to compete with the iPhone 16E in proving who is actually dumber.

02:04Not only is the iPhone 17 Air rumoured to have one camera, but also no physical SIM tray,

02:09basically eSIM across the world.

02:11And it's not even going to have stereo speakers.

02:14Just mono speakers at the top near the earpiece.

02:16Overall, I think this phone is just going to be about the way it feels and there's really

02:20nothing more to it.

02:21Oh, and I forgot, they're going to be colours and very much to the tune of, you know, the

02:25air vibes.

02:26So there's going to be a light blue, a light gold, along with the regular white, black,

02:30and grey.

02:31Anyway, let's move on.

02:32And we'll talk about the iPhone 17 base in a bit.

02:34I mean, that's boring and I really want you guys to continue watching the video.

02:38YouTube algo, but let's focus on the interesting stuff, the 17 Pro and the Pro Max.

02:43So finally, after nearly half a decade, you'll see significant changes and upgrades in the

02:48Pro series of the iPhones, and almost about seven to six important updates.

02:53See, you'll get the brand new A19 Pro chip, it's going to be all powerful, great graphic

02:58support and more battery efficient and all of that, but let's talk about things that

03:01are going to really pop at you and really matter to you in your everyday use.

03:05The first thing you'd notice is the new camera layout, okay, three camera lenses on

03:09the left, and the LiDAR and the flashlight on the right.

03:11And this obviously gives the 17 Pro series its own distinct, unique look, and that's

03:15how people would be able to tell that you've got an iPhone 17 Pro and not the 16, 15 or

03:20the 14 Pro.

03:21Yeah.

03:22Second, the cameras themselves are getting a solid upgrade.

03:25All three are going to be 48 megapixel, including the telephoto lens.

03:29And it's rumored that the telephoto lens this time is going to be a movable one, which can

03:33now give you up to 8x optical quality zoom.

03:36Now, I don't think anyone knows whether it's actual 8x optical zoom or if it's 8x optical

03:42quality zoom that you know you get by cropping into the 48 megapixel photo.

03:46But hopefully, either way, you should see an 8x zoom setting.

03:50Third, Apple is taking cues from Samsung and might be giving an anti-reflective coating on

03:57its Pro display.

03:58And I think it's going to be a game changer for iPhone users, they'll finally know what

04:02that feels like.

04:03Fourth, larger battery capacities.

04:06So we've been hearing that up to 5000 mAh capacity on the Pro variants, I mean, effectively,

04:12whether that translates into more screen-on time or not, I'll only be able to tell you

04:16in my super honest review.

04:18But I'm already sick of the iPhone 16 Pro battery, it's been a year, and I'm down to

04:2435%, I wake up at 8 and by 3pm or 4pm, 35%, really bad.

04:29Fifth, they might be introducing vapor chamber to cool the iPhone.

04:34These guys.

04:35So you know, during charging your phone, or if you're using the camera for too long, or

04:38if your phone's just kept in heat, it's not going to throw up a warning error.

04:42Hopefully, the 17 Pro's are going to try and remain cooler now.

04:45Sixth, a faster wireless charging with G2.2 support.

04:49So it'll go from 15 watts to 25 watts, and it might support reverse wireless charging.

04:53So you'll be able to share your battery, to charge other iPhones, and even your accessories

04:57like AirPods.

04:58I really wonder where they get these wild ideas from.

05:02Okay, but jokes aside, the most important change is going to be one that's not very

05:06noticeable, but it's a really crucial one, and I think it's to do with the design and

05:10the build of the iPhone, and I'm going to give very serious credit to Apple for this.

05:15So we're hearing that they're going to ditch titanium frame this time, and instead use

05:18a unibody frame that's part stainless steel and part glass.

05:22So much so that even that camera housing is going to be made of stainless steel, and there's

05:26a big reason for that.

05:27See, usually you have these antennas running on the frame of the iPhone.

05:31But with this design, they're going to be able to run the antennas from the edge all the

05:35way around the camera housing, making the antenna strength a lot more.

05:40And this in turn is going to give these iPhones a huge advantage in terms of, you know, 5G capabilities

05:45and Wi-Fi signal strength.

05:48Now, the part that's glass is just so that you can wirelessly charge the iPhone and use

05:52it for reverse wireless charging, as we talked about earlier.

05:55Now, in terms of colors, it seems like there's going to be either a dark orange color or a

05:59dark blue color, or maybe both.

06:01But that's highly unlikely, it's going to be either one of them as the hero color.

06:05And of course, you will still have some other, you know, usual neutral colors that are generally

06:09always there.

06:10And another small change that, again, we've been just hearing is that the dynamic island pill is

06:15going to get a slight reduction in size.

06:17I don't think that changes a lot, but if it matters to you, you know now.

06:21But yeah, that's all about the Pro and the Pro Max.

06:23Now let's talk about the iPhone 17 base real quick, because honestly, there's not a lot

06:28to talk about, except for that one major change.

06:31So in terms of design and, you know, the way it looks, it's pretty much the same as the

06:34iPhone 16 base.

06:35We might see new colors to create a distinction, but that's about it.

06:39But the biggest change, rather a much awaited and begged for upgrade is that the base display

06:45now gets 120Hz.

06:48But you know, I'm actually interested to see how Apple is going to announce this for their

06:54$100 or 80,000 base iPhone.

06:57I mean, how are they going to pitch it as an epic feature?

07:02But yeah, that's it about, you know, all the iPhone 17s that we know so far.

07:06Nothing on the pricing.

07:07I'm guessing it's going to be pretty much the same or maybe $50 more depending on, you know,

07:12a lot of issues and conditions that are already existing economically.

07:16But if you were to ask me, I think the pros make the most sense from a purchase point

07:22of view, given just, you know, the kind of changes that are coming to it.

07:25The base, not so much, and the 17 Air, as you already know, I'm going to crown it the

07:29dumbest iPhone of 2025.

07:31But you know, I might still get the iPhone 17 Air just to make fun of it, and you might

07:35want to subscribe for that.

07:36Oh, and when will all of this go on sale?

07:38So I think it's going to be around 19th of September, it could be 16th, 17th or 22nd,

07:4223rd, but yeah, in that week, hopefully.

07:45And of course, guys, all of this stuff was just leaks and rumors that I've collected

07:48from very credible sources, so hopefully a lot of it does come true, but don't hold

07:53me to it.
