00:00Oh my god! My heart! That is wild!
00:06Welcome to 15 of the most futuristic gadgets you might have ever seen.
00:10We're talking speaker systems you can wear on your face, heat shrinking technology,
00:14lasers that can burn through things, levitation, and more.
00:18And we're gonna go in order of how exciting I think each one is.
00:21So number 15. It's a strange kind of future, I'll tell you that.
00:25You can now buy shower heads, which are also speakers.
00:28You have this outer portion, which will spray water.
00:32And then this magnetic inner portion, which is where the sound will come from.
00:36Doesn't feel like a particularly strong magnet, but...
00:42I think they forgot about the magnet.
00:44Okay, I promised lasers. Number 14 is the laser pecker.
00:49It's probably the most dangerous pecker you've ever seen.
00:52Oh god. I just had to agree to like five separate disclaimers.
00:55Basically, even though a laser is just light, the power of that light,
00:59combined with how concentrated it can be, means that this light can burn through stuff.
01:05So, I've got a phone I want to burn here, and the laser pecker app here.
01:09You pull up an image that you want on this app, and then you just hit print.
01:14Let's see what happens.
01:16Oh my god, look at it.
01:18It's like pools of smoke.
01:20Should we get a fire extinguisher?
01:22It's blowing my mind that that is just light.
01:25That is wild.
01:28Look at that.
01:29And this is not just like a drawing.
01:31This is etched into my case.
01:33Okay, next up we have something from xGME.
01:36They're the sponsor of this video, and their projector, the Horizon Pro,
01:40is the most capable, most futuristic one I've ever used.
01:44So, that right there is a 120-inch screen.
01:47Up here is the projector that I used to use on it.
01:49It was like $5,000.
01:51The speaker system to go along with it was like $6,000.
01:55Right, well, this little thing is so good in terms of the picture quality
01:59and the quality of the inbuilt speakers that, no joke, for $1,700, it has replaced them both.
02:06But the only reason I actually said yes to it for this video is that it's also a smart projector.
02:11It has sensors that allow it to autofocus and auto-keystone correction.
02:15So, I have literally not once had to fiddle with a manual focus ring.
02:18It can detect where your screen is and align its image inside it.
02:22It can even re-angle the picture to make it appear completely flat,
02:25even if the projector is firing downwards.
02:27But my favourite thing is that it in itself is also an Android device,
02:32which means it can use Android apps and as such,
02:35also wipes out half the boxes down there too.
02:40How small do you think the smallest gaming console is?
02:43This big maybe?
02:44Uh, maybe this big?
02:46Not quite.
02:47What you're looking at right now is Thummy,
02:49a fully operational handheld that you could very easily swallow if you're not careful.
02:54So I'm just loading up Tetris right now,
02:56and I can't believe this is, like, fully functional.
02:59All the buttons work is expected.
03:01This, for all intents and purposes, is a working Game Boy, but with an OLED screen.
03:05Can you imagine, like, going back 30 years and telling someone that their gaming console that was, like, this big,
03:11would one day be this big?
03:13I wouldn't have believed you.
03:14That's even cooler than I was expecting it to be.
03:17Wait till you see number one on this list, though.
03:19You know, something I never expected to feature in a video about future gadgets,
03:23was a paper plane.
03:25But times are changing.
03:26Gone are the days where you just take a sheet of paper, fold it three times, and you're...
03:31Done?
03:32Good thing I'm not a pilot.
03:33Nope!
03:34I spent a good 15 minutes building the Power-Up V4.
03:37Precisely folding, taping, and even adding Bluetooth-controlled propellers.
03:42Time to see if it was worth it.
03:44So I've got my app here.
03:45I'm going to unlock the propellers.
03:47Oh my god.
03:48Okay.
03:49Three.
03:50Two.
03:51One.
03:52Oh!
03:53Too much.
03:54Too much.
03:55Too much throttle.
03:56Ultimate test.
03:57Let's go.
03:59Come on.
04:00Come down.
04:01Come down.
04:02Come on.
04:03Come on.
04:04Oh my god.
04:08It's still going!
04:10Oh sh...
04:11Yeah, we're uh...
04:13We're not getting that one back.
04:14But you know, there's something that's had me even more excited than high-tech paper.
04:19This is what's claiming to be the next era of Mario Kart.
04:23I am such a child.
04:25If you haven't heard of Mario Kart, it is like the staple family racing game.
04:29And this is what happens when the game becomes real.
04:33Oh sh...
04:34Oh sh...
04:35Alright, so inside the box, as well as the kart, I also got a bunch of these gates.
04:39And the idea is, you place these gates around the room you want to race in, and then the
04:43kart itself has an embedded camera that can use these gates to turn your room into a real-life
04:48Mario Kart course.
04:49Oh, hello Milo.
04:50It's Mario versus Milo.
04:52Come and get me.
04:53Come and get me.
04:54It feels like Jurassic Park, like walking with the dinosaurs.
05:00So the physical kart is moving through my physical room, but on my screen I can actually
05:06see my virtual opponents and the virtual items I pick up.
05:10And then I can use them in the real world.
05:12And because you've got a physical car in your room, all the physical objects automatically
05:17become obstacles in the game.
05:19Okay, so we've had computer mice for the best part of 60 years now.
05:24But have you ever wondered what's next?
05:26Okay, you probably haven't, you're not sad like me.
05:29But according to the Zephyr Pro, it's having a mouse with a physical cooling system inside.
05:34I kid you not, this mouse, as well as being built with a honeycomb structure to dissipate
05:39also has an actual fan inside of it.
05:42So you click this button to change your lighting modes and then this one here will turn on the fan.
05:46Oh wait, it is on.
05:47It's just, that is completely silent.
05:50It's not as powerful as I was expecting, but I guess that kind of makes sense.
05:54I mean, it's trying to keep your hands sweat free, not freeze them off.
05:58I love gadgets like this.
06:00Clean presentations, slick design, funny names because all the good ones were taken.
06:04This is Nolli, specifically the Nolli battery system.
06:09Why is it a battery system, you might ask?
06:11Well, compared to just a normal charger, this system has quite a nice self-reinforcing loop
06:17that makes it almost idiot-proof.
06:20So for starters, it's a main socket that can charge your phone through the USB port on top.
06:25You also get a 6,700 million power power bank with its own inbuilt cable of your choosing,
06:30as well as its own USB port to charge something else.
06:34But then the power bank magnetically connects to the main socket
06:38so that you can charge both your phone at the same time that the power bank is charging.
06:42And the whole thing will only take up one socket with no spillover or blockage to the one next to it.
06:48So what on earth tops that?
06:50Well, this is a piece of technology that I think 10 years ago people would have laughed at if you suggested it.
06:56A smart ring.
06:58And I did not think it would be as capable as it is.
07:01This thing is packed with sensors and it measures almost all the same data that a full-on smartwatch would.
07:07I've been using it to monitor my sleep, my levels of activity.
07:10We're talking a level of sophistication such that this ring can detect the onset of a virus before you can
07:16by noticing trends and fluctuations in your body temperature.
07:19My only gripe, though, is that this company, Oura, have actually just introduced a $6 monthly subscription
07:25if you actually want to get all your data.
07:27And that's on top of the $300 price of the ring itself.
07:30Which I guess is very much the future we're moving towards, but not necessarily in a good way.
07:37Speaking of subscriptions, though, if you do enjoy my videos, a sub to the channel would be...
07:41free.
07:44All right, I'll tell you one tech problem that I would love to be left in the past.
07:49Fraying damaged cables.
07:51Don't even get me started on how many MacBook wires I've had to replace.
07:55Mostly due to wear and tear at the neck, which is the part that tends to receive the most bending and pulling.
08:00Well, with the help of heat shrinking tubing, this is actually a solvable problem.
08:05So I've got my damaged cable here.
08:07What it says to do is to slip one of these tubes on top of the neck.
08:11And then when I heat it, it says to use a lighter.
08:13I'm not going to do that.
08:15It should apparently compress by a factor of three.
08:18Let's try it.
08:21Oh, wow, it's working.
08:23Look at it closing up.
08:25The hole's no longer open.
08:27And that is completely sealed up.
08:29So this will insulate the wire.
08:31It'll protect it.
08:32It'll protect you.
08:33It'll also make it waterproof.
08:35And the insides of these tubes are lined with adhesive such that once you've heated them and they've sealed, they will stay like that.
08:41Okay, so you might know this about me.
08:43I kind of have a thing for funky looking lights.
08:46But how do you take a light to the next level?
08:49I'll tell you.
08:50Magnetic levitation.
08:52So we've got the base here.
08:53When I plug it in, this will become a wireless charger for my phone.
08:56And then up at the top, this just looks like a normal magnet, right?
09:00Magnetic bulb, magnetic top.
09:02Except, when I plug it in, hopefully, this should become an electromagnetic field.
09:08And the light will turn on.
09:12Oh my god, that's so cool.
09:14Let's just see what happens if I put some paper in between.
09:20Come on.
09:21That's got to be a permanent part of the setup now.
09:23On a related note though, do you know what's even cooler than electricity-powered anti-gravity?
09:28Anti-gravity that doesn't require any electricity.
09:31This is the tipsy tray.
09:33It doesn't look like much, but bear with me here.
09:35Because this company is saying that by using this tray, spilling drinks will become a relic of the past.
09:41Now, that's a pretty bold claim if you've ever seen me try to carry a cup of tea.
09:45But I'm ready to test that theory.
09:47Okay, four glasses of hot tea ready to go.
09:50The concept is that because I'm holding them from above, it will create a center of rotation at that point.
09:55It should mean that if I swing the tray like this, it will exert a force on those drinks from that point of rotation.
10:01Which, in theory, should temporarily glue them to the surface.
10:05But it's time to test that.
10:06The stakes are so high here.
10:08I could burn myself.
10:09I could cut myself.
10:10Here goes.
10:11Five.
10:12Four.
10:13Three.
10:14Two.
10:15One.
10:19Oh my god.
10:21My heart.
10:24It works.
10:25Not a single drop.
10:26Look at it.
10:27That shower head incident scarred me.
10:29All right, we're in the top three.
10:31So, it's probably not a surprise to you that more and more in our day-to-day lives, we are using wireless earphones.
10:37People don't like wires and people don't like big bulky headphones that mess up your hair.
10:42But, in-ear earphones come with their own set of problems.
10:45And the OLEDance wearable stereo is claiming to fix all of them.
10:50So, right off the bat, this company isn't even calling these earphones.
10:54The way they have these dual compartments means that they can hold themselves in place without actually needing to go inside at all.
11:00They feel less like earphones.
11:02More like a private set of speakers, if that makes sense.
11:05Secondly, this dual chamber design means that there is literally zero risk of these coming off.
11:11Which is sometimes an issue for normal earphones.
11:13And they sound really nice.
11:15Kind of like an outdoor concert.
11:17And finally, because this second chamber is almost completely filled with battery, unlike normal earbuds that might get like four to five hours before you have to case them up, these can last 12 to 16.
11:29The only things you need to consider are if you like the way they look, which I'm not too sure that I do, and if you actually want to pair with no noise cancelling.
11:37This is listed as one of the features of the product, you know, like be aware of your surroundings at all times.
11:42But equally, it does mean that you lose that in your own bubble feeling that you might get from a pair of AirPods Pro, for example.
11:48Alright, so you know how those things were like mini speakers?
11:51Well, here's a not so mini speaker.
11:54This is the Mars Pro Special Edition.
11:57And if you're someone who worries about robots one day taking over the world, then you probably shouldn't buy one.
12:03It's made of like proper metal, and I'm still in shock that this is an actual working speaker.
12:09But what's probably more surprising is that this company is claiming that it is of audiophile quality.
12:15I'll be the judge of that.
12:28Okay, I am genuinely surprised by that.
12:31You'd think by looking at this that this is kind of just a showpiece, but the base that it's managed to achieve in such a small package is phenomenal.
12:39I still don't know about audiophile though.
12:41So what on earth is number one then?
12:44Enter the Triscream 2.
12:46And this one gadget can turn your normal lowly laptop into a triple screened behemoth.
12:52There's no magnets or glue.
12:54The system uses elastic to adjust to the size of your laptop.
12:57And then once it's on, you pull here and pull here.
13:00And then you plug one USB cable into this one, one USB cable into this one.
13:04And that's it.
13:05Look at this.
13:06This is wild.
13:07So if I've got a window over here, I can drag it all the way onto the main display and then through that to the right.
13:13Or I can just have like three full screen windows open at once.
13:16And if you're wondering what happens when you take this concept to the absolute extreme, this is the Expanscape Aurora 7.
13:25I was actually planning to go hands on with it for this video, but we just couldn't make timings work.
13:29Essentially though, this company has figured out a way to make a top spec laptop.
13:33We're talking latest i9 chipset, 128 gigabytes of RAM, etc, which can fold out to not one, not three, but seven displays.
13:42I am still going to try and get hands on with it because this is completely next level.
13:46But long story short, expect the final product to be released in a matter of weeks.
