Britain’s warmest summer ever has come to an abrupt and dramatic end — and now the nation is bracing for chaos :cloud_with_rain::dashing_away:

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for strong winds, torrential rain, thunder, and even hail as powerful Atlantic storms sweep across the country. With up to 60mm of rain expected in some areas, flooding, travel delays, and power outages are all on the cards. And just as schools reopen, families are being warned of a wet and wild commute.

This comes only days after remnants of Hurricane Erin rocked parts of the UK. Now, heavy downpours, coastal gales, and thunderstorms are set to make the first week of September unforgettable — for all the wrong reasons.

Watch now to find out where it’s hitting hardest, what to expect, and how this wild weather follows the hottest summer Britain has ever seen :sun::right_arrow::tornado:
