00:00Very quickly, live to Caracas, Venezuela, as officials are taking part in an activity
00:04to celebrate also the 80th anniversary of the Chinese victory over Japanese colonial
00:10rule.
00:11Let's listen.
00:12We are seeing a ceremony as they are presenting a wreath in the national anthem where the remains
00:30of the Liberator SimĂłn BolĂvar rests.
00:32We are seeing this activity held between China and Venezuela, representatives of the Venezuelan
00:37government.
00:38The Venezuelan government, of course, we were seeing there the executive vice president
00:42Rodriguez and representative of the Chinese diplomatic corps have come here to express and
00:48continue to show their unity as both nations continue to work together in different fields,
00:53in different aspects of cultural technology to solve the issues of the peoples and to try
01:01to improve the life of both peoples and to continue working towards that multipolar world
01:06world that is already in emergence, a multipolar world that is more fair and helps and strengthens
01:13cooperation among the peoples of the world.
01:15As we were saying, these days we have seen different activities that have taken place to
01:21pay homage to the victory of the Chinese people as they celebrate the 80th anniversary of their
01:29victory over Japanese colonial rule.
01:32We are seeing there the executive vice president of Venezuela, Des Rodriguez, greeting all the
01:37representatives that have gathered here to be part of this honorary ceremony as both nations,
01:43China and Venezuela, continue to reaffirm their long history and ties of friendship and
01:49cooperation, a relation that has been strengthened especially in the last 25 years of revolution.
01:55a ceremony that is being held at the National Pantheon, as we were saying, where the remains
02:06of the liberators among Bolivar rest, officials laid a wreath of flowers to honor today and to
02:15continue to express the spirit of cooperation, the tradition of long-time collaboration that has
02:22existed between both China and Venezuela in different projects.
02:27Throughout the years, we have seen the visit of President Nicolás Maduro as well to the
02:33Chinese nation as an exerocation of the executive president herself.
02:37Right now, the president of the National Assembly is leading a delegation representing Venezuela in
02:43China in all these days of commemorations that have been held in the Asian giants.
02:49So, between China and Venezuela, there's been a very strong relations for the last, especially
03:01for the last 25 years in the 21st century, as both nations are committed in the policy of
03:06creating a better future, a shared future for humanity and the strengthening of cooperation
03:12for the global south, they are very strong.
03:17They have developed very strong strategic cooperation strategies as they continue to move forward
03:23in their development of their nations.
03:33It seems that the ceremony is now over, we saw the authorities beginning to abandon the
03:40hall after they laid this wreath ceremony to honor the Liberator and to continue expressing their
03:48links of union and cooperation that bind together these two great nations, China and Venezuela, as we were
03:56saying the framework of the 80th anniversary of China's triumph over colon of rule, over Japanese
04:05domination, achieving their long term, their full independence and have continued to work
04:11throughout the last decades to improve the life of their people.
04:18As both nations continue to work and to safeguard the national sovereignty, and in this context
04:31we can say that in the face of the latest U.S. threats, we saw very strong statements coming
04:37from the Chinese Foreign Ministry standing in support of the Venezuelan nation condemning any
04:43kind of military aggression against the Venezuelan nation and expressing their full
04:48support to the Venezuelan people and to the Venezuelan government in defense of their
04:53sovereignty and their right to self-determination.
04:58So in these latest years, as we were saying, especially during the Bolivarian Revolution,
05:03the ties have strengthened like them before.
05:09Let's listen to the statement of the Vice President.
05:15It's a great celebration for the whole world where millions of Chinese laid down their life
05:20in the combat against fascism.
05:22This is a reason to celebrate, to commemorate and remember these actions.
05:28We saw yesterday an extraordinary parade that proves 80 years of the powerful path of China,
05:35a path that has extraordinary message for humanity in favor of peace and in shared development
05:42for the people.
05:43Just two days ago, President Nicolás Maduro also submitted and supported the global governance
05:52initiative that President Xi Jinping presented before the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,
05:57a governance that seeks to rebuild the basis to be able to guarantee peace and stability at the
06:04international level, a governance that is based on international law in the recognition of
06:13sovereign equality of the states that seeks to rebuild multilateralism, focused in the happiness of the people,
06:24because policies must be focused on the happiness of the peoples and must have real concrete results.
06:30This initiative of global governance shows that 80 years later China, after extraordinary sacrifices of its people
06:39for over 14 years of resistance before fascism, before Nazism, we must remember that Japan of that time was part of the axis of fascism, together with Germany.
06:51So the occupation happened.
06:58The occupation of China became one of the worst age of torture that has been wrecked in centuries,
07:10that not even pregnant women were spared.
07:12Those years of fascism can never happen again.
07:15So in a way of recognition to the victory of the Soviet people, the victory of the Chinese people,
07:22and 80 years later we see Russia and China at the lead, raising the flag of peace, of cooperation,
07:30leading an important struggle so that neo-fascism, neo-colonialism, and neo-Nazism never returns to power,
07:39because we know the terrible consequences that can have to the peoples, for the peoples.
07:46And we support, dear Ambassador, all the initiatives of President Xi Jinping that aim to rebuild a true international order,
07:55not only the international governance, but also for security, for the initiative of the Silk Road.
08:01China has risen over his ashes and over those ashes has built a true power after years of confrontation
08:14and with the implementation of reform, of economic reform.
08:20Now, took China to what it is today, the first power in the world, the first economic power,
08:26and what we saw yesterday was truly extraordinary.
08:30The military development, the military power that China has that had never been seen before,
08:37it was truly something to be praised.
08:40And we are here in the name of President Nicolas Maduro ratifying our friendship to the commemorative event.
08:50The President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, was there.
08:54He went, carrying the greetings and the emotions and embrace of our President and our people
09:00in this very important day for humanity.
09:03And also we received the support and the words of support from President Xi Jinping
09:09and his support for President Maduro and for the Venezuelan people.
09:13So this is a synonym of friendship, of alliance, of cooperation that frames what will be the future development.
09:24And we are all here together in one same space to defend international law and international morals.
09:30In over 50 years of diplomatic relations, Ms. Vice President, China, we can say that we see China as the big sister
09:42and Venezuela continues to learn from her.
09:45How can we summarize the work that we've been carrying out in the last years?
09:51Well, we see it as a work especially of resistance for everything that we have seen.
09:56It is something, which is its passion, its determination for victory, for never surrender and be defeated for dark forces,
10:07for never surrender before fascism, because they pretend, they pretend to make away with all international legality
10:19and international organizations.
10:21But today, the peoples of the world, we are recovering the pieces of what is a true multilateralism.
10:31And this is what we are expressing in this new world with BRICS and a world that has a true path to defend,
10:39before all those that aim to crush the countries and do not recognize the equality between the states.
10:50Because the first thing that is established is that all states, the first thing that is established in the UN Charter
10:56is that all states are equal before international law because we are all the same.
11:00But when a genocide is being committed against the people of Palestine, it fails because when there is no justice against the people that violate that law.
11:17So for the 80 years of this historic feat of the Soviet people, of the Chinese people, for 80 years of this heroic feat,
11:26we join in the same place and sentiment, which is to look for the happiness of the people, to drive away violence,
11:35to drive away hate and war and those sectors that promote the wars for citizens.
11:42And that we truly build an international structure that allows for cooperation and that the friendship of the people is expressed.
11:57Now I have a question to the ambassador of the Chinese People's Republic to Venezuela.
12:03Today is very special for the Chinese people and for the world.
12:10We work together with everyone that loves peace in the world and share the history of the Chinese people.
12:20For all the victims that fell during the struggles against fascism coming from Japan at that time.
12:35But it is a great moment to come together with all the forces in the world that love peace.
12:40It is a moment to remember our heroic heroes that fell.
12:45But it is not a moment for a message of hate.
12:49It is a moment for a message of love, that we are more a people of peace,
12:54and that we can continue building a better world, a more peaceful world, and a better world for the peoples of the world.
13:00Those were the statements of the ambassador of China to Venezuela as part of these important activities,
13:10commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Chinese people before the aggressions of the fascist Japan of those years of that time.
13:22So we were listening to two different events.
13:30First, we were listening to the press conference of President Vladimir Putin, Russian President Vladimir Putin in China,
13:37where he was addressing different press, referring all the important activities that have been held in these last four days,
13:44in the framework of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Chinese victory over fascist Japan,
13:51and also of the SCO meeting where important initiatives were carried out to continue improving that multilateral world,
13:58to continue improving the international framework for relation and development of the people.
14:03They also went live to Caracas with a special activity, a special commemorative event,
14:07where both China and Venezuela reaffirmed their long ties and tradition of friendship and cooperation,
14:13as they laid a wreath in front of the National Pantheon where the Liberator Simon Bolivar rests,
14:17and where both nations, in the presence of the ex-certified President Rodriguez and the Chinese ambassador to Venezuela,
14:24continue to express their commitment to continue working together for the development and the creation of that multilateral world,
14:31in their statements following the event they reaffirmed the same,
14:34and reaffirmed that this is a moment to remember all the people that sacrificed their life to achieve what is being achieved right now in the future,
14:42as both China, Russia, Venezuela and many other countries in the global south continue moving forward in that multilateral world.
14:49Stay tuned with Teresor English for more updates in upcoming news briefs.
