00:13parade, the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance
00:17against Japanese aggression and in the World Anti-Fascist War. In an act of deep significance,
00:22more than a thousand musicians pay tribute to each year of the Great Resistance against
00:26invasion and aggression, which began with the occupation of Manchuria in 1931. The ceremony
00:33honors the memory of the approximately 20 million Chinese men and women, mostly civilians,
00:37who gave their lives in the fight for national liberation. In a striking demonstration of
00:42sovereignty and national technological development, the parade featured new strategic weapons for
00:46land, maritime and air defense, including hypersonic systems, latest generation drones and domestically
00:52manufactured combat aircraft, which guaranteed the protection of its territorial integrity
00:58and its right to peaceful development.
