00:10texas i can't rule out a bruce bocce team i guess until i see the final result in september

00:16i i guess not and i mean i was looking at that nathan eovaldi injury is the nail in the coffin

00:20and i was saying hey thank you to nathan eovaldi who on a start-by-start basis was probably the

00:24best pitcher in baseball this year the era was well under two i think it was 173 or something

00:30like that and he goes down with a shoulder issue um so his season is a pretty much over um but now i

00:37mean listen the rangers i feel like at the beginning of the year were the x factor in baseball how good

00:45are they going to be they won the world series in 2023 last year they were a shell of themselves

00:50and it's because all of these guys that had career years offensively could not hit in 2024

00:55and now you're seeing this sort of kind of hybrid but it all stems from pitching and at the end of

01:00the day if you pitch you win and you get into the postseason you pitch you win it's why everybody loves

01:07seattle because you feel like if they enter a postseason series they can pitch their way to

01:12four straight two nothing wins and okay all of a sudden you're in the american league championship

01:17series or all of a sudden you're in the world series texas can do that too and i look at the

01:22pitching and i say this is a postseason caliber pitching staff the way the bullpen's going the

01:26way the starting rotation has gone this year even without eovaldi for me i just look at this offense

01:31and i say are you going to be good for three and a half more weeks and the answer is just a big old

01:37i don't know i have no idea what texas is going to do um i wish we had an answer for you uh but it does

01:46seem like seattle is sliding and texas is getting hot but we've got three more weeks to sort all of

01:52this stuff out
