00:00Police are continuing to swarm at Mount Buffalo National Park as the manhunt for alleged gunman
00:07Desi Freeman extends for its ninth day. This afternoon, Victoria Police's Chief Commissioner
00:12Mike Bush provided an update where he again urged Mr Freeman to turn himself in. So far,
00:18police have searched more than 100 properties in this area. They say it's still a real possibility
00:23that Mr Freeman is being harbored or that he's moving around. They say nothing at this stage
00:29has been ruled out. The Chief Commissioner also indicated that Mr Freeman's wife Amalia may be
00:34charged for obstructing police. He says police have compiled a brief of evidence and that they're
00:40working with Ms Freeman's solicitors to provide a statement. But today, Mike Bush saved his starkest
00:45words for Desi Freeman himself, telling him that it's time to surrender. I do appeal to the person
00:52responsible to hand themselves in immediately. And my message to him is that your destiny is in your
01:06hands. Now authorities are continuing to throw everything at this search, including the ADF
01:12who've brought in a planning specialist to assist Victoria Police. This Friday and next Monday will
01:18be the funerals for Senior Constable Vadim de Vaz Hotar and Detective Leading Senior Constable Neil
01:23Thompson. The Chief Commissioner says he wants this manhunt to be over by then.
