Woman critically injured following stabbing in Coomera

A woman is in a critical condition in a Gold Coast hospital after being stabbed multiple times in a shopping centre carpark.

00:00Paramedics were called to the centre here on Foxbell Road at Coomera just before 1.30 this

00:08morning. They found a 32-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her face and neck.

00:13She's been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition. It's been

00:19confirmed that the woman was an Uber driver and that this attack occurred while she was

00:23dropping a passenger off here at the Westfield this morning. Police have established a crime

00:29scene and are investigating the circumstances that led up to this attack including who may

00:34have taken part. Plain clothes and uniform police have been scouring the surrounding area this

00:41morning. They've established a crime scene. Officers also watched closely as a white SUV

00:47was loaded onto the back of a tow truck a little earlier and taken away. Police are yet to make

00:53any arrests in relation to this incident and are appealing for anyone with information,

00:57dash cam footage or witnesses to come forward.
